Don't get too bent trying to get the bumpsteer out. It's there for a reason. When the suspension tops out the tires toe out. This helps the car gather itself on crooked jump landings. When the car is on the ground and the suspension is at normal sag there is no bump steer in that part of the travel. You must also change the upper hinge pin angle with shims under the rear mount if you want to get rid of the bumpsteer because the stock setup has reactive caster (caster changes through the travel) this also changes the height of the spindle ball stud relative to the ackerman link.

Ran on a blue groove last race. Car was dialed. I ran the Schwartz set up with the following changes (white front springs, 400 rear oil and 2.75 rear toe, tightened front sway bar with 2mm showing at the end of the swaybar).

I just put in the 48T spur and LOVE it. I ran on the same track, but it is dusty now because it has rained and pulled up the sand. But the car pulled insanely hard out of the corners. I am running a B7 Pro and the motor loves to rev. I did not notice any loss in speed down the straight. It was just easier to clear the jumps with a short run up.

ALL DONE! Whew took me alot longer than I bargained for. Can't wait to take it out on the track. Got me a C6BB7T and a GO 5 port motor. Need to break in both. Here's a pic. I used a proline-quicklids. I'm a noobie painter.

More anti-squat for the rear and more kickup for the front. Just compare the blocks side by side and you'll see.

Has any one been experiencing front arm failures ? have been running X5's for 5 years and never had any trouble with the arms , but the last 3 meetings i have pulled the pivot ball out of 3 arms.

I experienced the same thing pivot ball backing out i just used some plumbers tape and it fixed it still using the same arm.

I wish i could get that far so i could use plumbers tape Got some feed back from mugen today they said the plastics are the same as the old X5 arms I have sent some pics tonight for them to look at .
I find the X5R arms easer to thread in than my old prospec arms were ? My old prospec still runs at the club and doesn't have this trouble and it crashes way more than i ever do with the R
I had one pull out at the Rocky Cup meeting (semi) replaced both arms ran total 45 mins at Sunshine coast track and when i got home checked arms and the r/h was stretching , replaced again run club meeting about 45 mins again and this failure

Will be interesting to here mugens thoughts on this

fu#k it just glue the CU#ts in thats what i was going to do if the tape didn't fix it it looks like to me that your's is wrecking the plastic though mine was just undoing itself i notice it straight away cause she has major camber

I use a bit of Super glue when i put them in also and then i never make adjustments after that as i like the track width where it is

Drove nitro funkies mbx5-r today..first time of drivin an off-roader..and i'm hooked.. I HAD a brand new MBX5-R with novarossi, but stupididly sold it before even using it! lol..

ohwell, this time I will be here to stay!

I had 2 pull out in the same day a couple of months back at the Proline Saturday Series. One on each side. Cost me an A main run in Q1. Then after bumping out of the C I was sitting in the transfer spot in the B when the other side backed out. And these were only 15 minute lower mains. I had another start backing out this last weekend at Revelation too.

I'm assuming the plumbers tape you're talking about is the white teflon tape stuff? I might just chuck some in my toolbox just in case. Going racing with the mugen for the first time this sunday, getting excited.

thats right did the trick for me i pulled both ball's completely out and layered it on thick and neat and screwed them back in and hasn't backed out yet a race on Sunday and went for a run today and still held up fine if it starts doing it again ill just glue the bottom one in leave the top for camber adjusting
