AE plates? never tried it. Always ran the kyosho plates, with the AE spurs.

I just bought the Avid top shaft and Triad slipper setup. It is far superior to all the stock slippers and is also lighter too!

Selling my rb6 and going back to the 5. Car is decked out with the exot red alum and carbon goodies... Steering rack front and rear bat posts/cf straps and shock Standoffs. Have 2 clear bodies and a practice pink and white one all kyo have extra nip front and rear arms and towers. 2 spare sets of steering arms and c hubs. Couple of steering racks, but won't need them bc of the alum one that's installed. Have pics on my phone I can email and text for tonight, but will put them online tomorrow after 5pm est. will trade plus cash for decked out rb5 or sell as roller or sell as roller minus shocks.

Why are you going back to the 5?

RB5 WC combo from speedtechrc.com ($45.99) is a good deal for standard top shaft and you could still use AE spur and pads.

For anyone who uses the exotek steering parts, does it eliminate much play?

I'm considering the WC set, but not sure.

Also planning on running standard bore shocks

Avid top shaft $20-$30 allows you to use the AE gear as well or the Avid slipper.

I'd like to know further: For anyone who uses the exotek steering parts and have previously broken the steering plate, have they broken anything else yet? Like ripped the ballstud out of the steering hubs?

I haven't ripped anything from the steering though the front camber link mount is another story. Had to move the stud one in since the outermost got ripped out by a whack. I ordered the exotek parts now.

Default Avid clutch system

for those using the Avid slipper system and gears . before you install the gears on it make sure you soak your spur gears in a sealed zip loc bag for at least 48 hours to put moisture in the plastic other wise they will become noisy. they are molded in a zero moisture atmosphere. my car was getting loud now it's nice and quite.
