MCLAREN F1 BODY 210MM WB TAMIYA M MINI CHASSIS M-02 M-03 M-04 M-05 M-06 | eBay
The GT2 is shorthand for the Porsche 911 GT2. Tamiya has made this 1/10th scale touring car body three times on two different chassis.

Tamiya released a 911 GT2 kit with Taisan Starcard decal livery in 1996 on a TA02SW; a TA02 with TA01 rear arms which shorten the wheelbase to 236mm and 32mm wide, offset wheels in the rear.

The body was also released with a TA03R-S chassis and PIAA decal livery, a standard TA03R with a shortened tub and drive belt.

The TA02SW version was re-released in 2015 without sponsorship.

Most 1/10 bodies have a 257mm wheelbase. The M-06 has a max - wheelbase of 239mm.
-How can they fit together?

I thought only specific M-06 bodies will fit the M-06 chassis...?

Most...not all. As stated, the TA02SW is 236mm. The TA04SS is 244mm and a TT01 can be configured to 251mm (I think, it might be a tad shorter).

Thanks for the info Mini35 and Scargoes.

I took a look at those TA bodies. They look alright.
I'm gonna get one (if I can).

9mm in front, 14mm in back. Same as found on a stock HPI Porsche 911 GT3 RSR.

Thinking of putting my TCS ready M06R on the auction blocks, but wanted to give first opportunity here if anyone is interested. Car has spec super grip premount tires and wheels, hard fluorine coated 20T pinion, aluminum rear uprights, aluminum steering set, aluminum steering post, aluminum steering rod, aluminum motor mount and gearbox plate, aluminum rear damper stay mount, aluminum servo saver horn, and Reedy 21.5 motor. Just needs servo, ESC, radio, receiver, and battery. Car is in great shape. It also includes a beat up Nissan Silvia body painted like Brian Oconner's car in 2 fast 2 furious. I have a brand new body and custom decal set if you want to paint a new one.

PM me if you are interested.

Well I finally competed in my first TCS race!

For concours my Alfa almost won. The judge later told me that he loved my car and it was a tough decision. In hindsight, I should have brought my shelf queen body.. my race body was already battle worn.

For the races, cars were separated into two races. I was in the second race and the one and only M06 hehehe. Watching the first race, I quickly realised who the top drivers were. There were two guys running under 19 second laps… they were both outstanding drivers

First heat I had a bad start. When I pulled the trigger car darted to right wall. I thought it was a radio glitch, then I thought my left rear wheel had come off.. those grey TCS wheels are hard to see for these old eyes. Once I realised the car was in one piece I drove it like I stole it and finished in 3rd place.

Second heat, I was 3rd in starting grid. Car tried to dart right again but I caught it this time and ended up second real quickly. The guy ahead of me was really quick had a few laps under 19 seconds (very experienced driver) but I was quicker overall. So I ended up first and getting TQ!!!!

In A-Main I started out in 4th position and overtook the guy in 3rd. The two top guys from other heat proved to be tough to catch. They both had more top end speed. They were also able to get consistent lap times in mid 18s and I was low 19s and high 18s. The race from there though was just us.. weaving and bobbing through the field.

So I finished 3rd place.. my first ever podium finish. As a prize I received the new MX5 Mazda Miata body..
