the ae shocks on the tc6 were really painful to get right, but when i drilled a hole in the cap and switched to rsd bladders they became as good as any other top manufactures shocks, that made a big improvement when i drove the tc6.1

...With the AE car, this means gluing the inserts, using grub screws on the hub carriers and caster blocks (like evochick), and using shims on hinge pins.
The movement you describe might be a combination of several things. I think that using a grub screw (drill hole after inserts are glued) will fix most of this. You can shim the c-hub with a thin washer...

Hey I'm kind of set on a used 6.1 but the only thing I'm worried about is parts. Are most of the 6.2 parts going to fit on a 6.1, I'm assuming most would but I'm only a year in.

The parts that take the brunt of an impact (e.g. caster blocks, hubs and control arms) are very readily available and are interchangeable between the TC6.1 and TC6.2.

Being an AE guy since I started with a TC5 I have completely hated the arm mount sytem and the new version is a reason enough for me. Can't beat a new kit and the support from the numerous drivers... It's going to be a great car and the only thing I wish is that it came with all the bells and whistles offered separately. .. main ones being the DCJs and the ti ballstuds..

I often ask myself why many are wishing for DJCs...
I tried two different DJC designs and compared them on track with the standard kit cardans. The quality of the TC5 and TC6 axles was bad, they bind early and caused a bad chattering. Since the TC6.1 the cardans became much better, have nearly no noticeable binding at a full steering angle (if build and manufactured correctly). The effect on the timesheets and car feeling with a DJC is therefore zero.
So my choice for the TC6.1WC is the kit cardan as it causes no trouble and has long maintenance intervalls (and came with the kit
).

i bought some from rsd and the dam pin kept falling out, so i quit running them also they weigh more= more rotational mass= less speed/more heat
