I currently have 119 on my program box and speedo for stock racing and it is pretty good. Would like to try the 211STOCK - do I need to upgrade the program box or just the speedo?

Thanks,
Stephen

Thanks, yes I do have the 310 software.

Can I ask about the following settings that I have been running under 119STOCK;

Running Mode - For/Brake
Drag Brake - 0%
Voltage Prot - 3.0v/cell
DRRS Punch - 9
Brake Force - 100%
Reverse Force - 100%
Initial Brake - 0%
Neutral Range - 6%
Boost timing - 40 degrees
Turbo Slope - 18 degrees
Overheat Prot - Enable
Turbo Timing - 35 degrees
Start RPM - 7000
Turbo Delay - 0.2
Timing Acc - 300

I have been running this in 10.5T with FDR 7.2 and it has been great but from reading the info again for 119 I think that I am not using all the timing that I am setting as it can only go to 60 degrees - is that correct and which can I take to make the 60 degrees.

If I do decide to run 211 what do I need to set to get the same settings as above to start with - I believe that it applies the timing/turbo etc. differently?

Sorry for the long post...

Motor is an HPI Flux Pro and you can see the track in the video on my web site at http://rcracingni.co.uk/ - the video is on the right hand side of the home page.

I pit with Alan, in fact that is him driving in the video.

I have tried very simlilar settings. Unfortunately my car will only do 50mph down the straight and the top guys are doing 52-53mph which means i am 0.5 seconds per lap off the pace. the fast guys are using Tekin or GM.
I have tried many settings & fdr but the top speed never gets any higher :-(

Try this with 211 and a fdr of 7.4-7.6, do you run the TC6 like Alan? you could also put a little drag brake if you feel it will help your driving style (15-20) and motor on 0 timing to start, eventually moving up gently to see if you feel a difference, total of boost, turbo and motor is 64 on 211, you have a total of 75 on 119 (and I do not know what is on your motor) if I recal it will stop at 60 with 119 automatically.
I am not familiar with the HPI, it looks like a nice motor, what is the most popular motor in Ballymoney?

Give my regards to Alan, I know him since he started 1/10th buggy, he was a little snippet at the time

Looking at those settings you still have 24 degrees of timing to use and ultimately its the gearing that effects top end. Would suggest upping the slope to 18 and reduce the delay to 0.1 as well to add the timing quicker

To me it is a bad setting up if you have no break, I do not understand how you could not have any break, reset your radio first with trims at 100, then up throttle to 110, add 100% break on speedo and reset your speedo with the values you had, try this and see if you have better brake etc..as fo speed, as Scoop mentionned you have 24 deg left to play with, fdr should be around 6.9 - 8.

If the 13.5t is like the 10.5t, maybe you should use V224 on speedo, but I am not sure on this, if someone can move in here who is familiar with 13.5t X12.
