Kyosho front hexes will work, only ones I personally have so I know for sure. But in theory all front hexes for any 2wd buggy will work as long as they use a 5mm bearing. B4 of course can not because that uses a standard size bearing. I do want to stress the wheel thread amount isn't that great. I'll post a picture so you guys get an idea. There's enough thread, just not enough for my liking. The wheel nut i'm using are these.

sigh, any reason durango is not wanting to make a conversion other than the wheel deal. Seems could sell a ton of that stuff. Or maybe another company can just make a direct one like exotek.
As you all know I have a dex210 v1. Now I'm slowly converting to a v2. The question I have is that does the v2 front arms make a difference other than ground clearence compared to the v1 arms? I personally like the gullwing arms. Thanks!

I don't mind the fronts without hex, just gotta pop a couple bearings out when you wash them but no big deal. The reason I have 12mm hex's for the rear (thanx 13mashine) is because I want to try the typo in the rear.
Other than wanting a tire that requires a certain wheel I think the bigger hex in the rear is a good... I wish my Tekno had a hex that large for the weight of the truck and the ludicrous power that it has.

My rear A arms are loose and wobbly. I think the play is located in the in the unit that holds the giant pins into the chassis (that goes through the A Arm). Either the anti squat/toe in block is worn out and needs to be replaced, or I did not put this section back together properly when I was changing to 4 gear.
Any ideas on what I could have done wrong in the assembly? Would adding a small shim to each of the long pins solved my slack in a way that wouldn't break my car?

Just finished v2 build. Much better plastics than b4.2, shocks are butter. Tried 13mas's recomendation of proline hexes on the rear to run ae rims. Works like a champ. Just put in the b4 rollpin and put on the hexes. No shims or spacers needed. Ae and proline rims have plenty of threads left. Losi 22 rears only leave 2-3 threads so i would use them with caution. Maybe thats why exotek and dingo haven't made a convert kit, no need too. Thanks 13.

They seem just a little too soft especially for mod and this has pushed me back into using stock Durango wheels and 14mm hexes when I can. You just don't have access to the EVO tires. Looks like Pro Line is going to do an EVO style line of tires too.

As far as the front hex goes, I highly recommend the Kyosho axle setup, as you can adjust your front track. Although I think I already mentioned earlier I am going back to regular wheels so I can mess with trailing vs in line…..It's REAALLY nice to be able to steal tires from the associated and Kyosho guys.
My initial thoughts on the EVO Typos is that they are very similar to the Pro Line IONS. I've only tried them at SCVRC though. I want to try them at OCRC and see. That being said I'd rather have Durango wheels and 14mm hexes. I'm considering taking a set of Durango wheels and shaving the outside ridge to make it more like an EVO wheel, perhaps I will also need their conversion kit to make it work. I'll post my findings in my Tire tech talk thread….

I've also noticed when you compare the EVO wheels to a Durango wheel the EVO wheels are quite a bit softer, probably due to the single low profile ridge instead of two. Seems like they could go out of round easily.

Kyosho 12mm Axle MOD
Another great reason to do the Kyosho axles in front is that you can use 12mm Losi 224 front wheels for an extra wide front tire setup. I'm not sure about legality in terms of ROAR on this but since you can adjust the width perhaps you can make it work. They fit using only 2mm of spacers as I have pictured here:

How many mm in spacers are you using in between the hex?
