Bob, yeah i guess it would be ok with a diff in, just not as fast IMHO. I never like running a diff on good quality carpet. On crap carpet with really no grip then it's ok, but that's the only time i'd run a diff with rubber tyres.
Mat you have PM

The RPM ball-cups will take all the slop out, but are known to be overly tight. If you use them and they are tight, just squeeze the ball-cup with a pair of plyers while on the ball-end.

As for strong; the Schuy ones are by far the strongest

I'd like to introduce myself, I'm James Reilly and I'm new to the Schumacher
team, Thanks Paul. My home tracks are CEFX Raceway and The Gate.
I run mostly modified and 19. I'm really looking forward to the Vegas race.
Any questions feel free to ask.

Cheers,
James

You can tighten up the stock ball cups but poping the the ball cup off
then placing a thin piece of plastic (like the bag that parts come in) one layer
over the metal ball, then push the ball end back on. Which cuts the plastic and tightens the ball end up. Hope that helps.

Cool. I imagine since you race those two tracks you will be working on some good foam carpet setups. Will be nice to see how this comes about for for you.

Good luck with your new ride. I really like my MI2 on asphalt but never really ran carpet with any of my touring cars but might be rethinking that some this year and might go for a carpet spec MI2. Been kinda taking a break right now from touring but I do have one or two more asphalt races yet this year.

Awesome...More Schumacher's out there!

If anyone has any big races...local or national other then the Vegas IIC coming up please let me know. We'd like to get as much coverage on Schumacher Pitspace as we can.

I know this coming Sept. 9-10 is a big weekend around the Midwest.

It's the first round of the Midwest Series and the Official Vegas IIC Warm-up at Scotty's track. On Sat. and Sun. respectively. There should be some good pics and video from that event.

If you would like to contribute please email [email protected]

As for the steering ballcup thing...

There's a Racer Tip going up soon that will show Kevin Kane's steering mod. Atleast 2-3 of us are using it on our cars and it works great.
