How far can you get with just shock angle, in lieu of spring changes? I'm racing my T4 for the first time this weekend, and have no tuning parts other than shims. I'm starting with the kit asphalt setup. The only spares I have are spool cups, so I hope it lives up to its reputation for durability.

I haven't broken any parts since racing my car in February. Only minor shimming up since its developed a bit more slop, but nothing serious. Spool cups started wearing a bit too. I found this car to be very low maintenance. Love it!

I'm trying to figure out how to loosen up my T4 as well. Right now I'm running on medium grip carpet and I've got medium roll centers but my shocks are stood completely up, so I've got lots of playing to do.

I have been running progressives all round on asphalt and found it can make the car more consistent. Then at another asphalt track that was faster and smoother I ran 2.9's with 2.7's
2.7 and 2.5 work well on carpet. If grip comes up enough you could run 2.7 front and rear.

I've found that I get a noticeable amount of change with shock angles, too. It's definitely something to try out.

Quite often I will leave everything else exactly the same and just change springs.
Skiddins
P.S. 90% of my setups have the front shocks in hole 2 and rears in hole 3

I would definitely buy some springs, they are the easiest thing to change that can make a huge difference.
