What I was trying to say is that in the past I've gotten wheels that weren't 28mm even though they were labeled as such. Have you measured them?

Hey guys any one know the size of the screws that holds the center spline together? And if some can post some picture of the assembly instruciton for the factory car that would be greatly appreciated.

I will be racing sedan at Oshkosh and Trackside (when the new carpet is down) and started racing mod buggy at Trackside ang Green Bay.

I tried the set up you sent. I only had time to run one pack through it. I will be using it to race this weekend. I really liked it. I cant explain how it was different from my car, I guess I could say it rotated better in the rear. I am trying to get my wife hooked in tc racing so she came with me to practice and I made sure she had the most track time since she's absolutely new. I actually didn't even have time to finish converting the car to the new set up. I had to leave the rear shocks with the # 3 pistons in them and the oil from my original set up. I also did not have a set of jacos, only the trc equivilent. All that will be fixed by sunday so I will give you an update. Especially about the coning problem. I haven't given up on the AE car yet. I'll update after sundays racing

Alright If youve followed my last few posts trying to figure out my tire coning problems youre gunna love this . . .I think I finally figured it out. It wasn't my camber and it wasn't my set up (although in the process I did get a set up I like much better. Thanks Bob Barry) I replaced the stock bumper with a p-dub bumper and I have put it through its paces. I have "used" the bumper so much that it has compresed (what can I say . . .I am a rookie). With the steering turned 100% either way just the outside third of the foam rubs the foam bumper. I didn't notice because I ran rubber tires with the p-dub bumper one time and there was already wear marks on the bumper. You may have to simulate this on your car to get what happened. Thanks for all the thoughtful replys. I am hoping to gain some corner speed once I remove the bumper. I also am hoping to gain some speed with this new set up. I will keep y'all posted.

Andrew that is precisely why I said first take it all apart and make sure that everything was working correctly. Im glad you found the problem. Take your dremmel and sanding wheel and work away the section near the tires. I would unhook your link to your servo and make sure the wheels can go full lock without rubbing.

Just obtained 4no YS-8D yokomo bladder caps with bladders for my TC4 shocks

the instructions say to remove the inner sponge from the centre of the shock (TC4 part) which means disasembly, and just use the bladder caps diaphram alone as the volume compensator?

Is Yokomo refering to it's own type of shocks or TC4 ones as well?

What do you guys run, or do you just screw the cap on as a direct replacement and not worry about it to much?

Do you also use the piece of black foam yokomo supply to go behind the diaphram? (seperate question!)

setup advice asked.
I run on carpet with sorex28 on a tight track.
The car feels very good at this moment, the only problem I have is when I go into the turn at the end of the straight at full speed, the rear is that little unstable.
Not very much, but enough to loose the rear sometimes.

19t motor
front copper spring

40 wt around
1,5° camber front
1,75° camber rear
0° toe in/out front
3° toe in rear
4° caster
no one-way or spool.

camber links as in the manual.

Please setup tips with the standard pieces, so no ultra design changes.

mark- I added ys-8d bladders to my shocks recently. Take out the foam around the bobbin that associated supplies. Also, use the little foam disc that yokomo includes. You are going to love these shocks now. So easy to build.

MARK: The black foam Yok supplies changes the bound/rebound of the bladder. In my use, i found the black bladder foam installed in all four reduced traction overall on asphalt, and reduced steering on carpet. I liked the bladder caps best without the foam insert. On my AE shocks i tried both with and without the foam around the bobbin, and the only difference i noticed was the shocks were easier to bleed and rebuild without the foam on the bobbin.
