If you look through all the Team Drivers like Marc, Jilles, Elliott & co, they have only used, Ride, HPI, and HB. Being Tamiya team drivers that might suggest something about Tamiya springs, eh ???

Mostly Tamiya drivers use Tamiya springs for indoor carpet, and HPI for outdoor looking at the set-up sheets.

You could try and flip the belt (take it of and re-install going the other direction) to see if it runs on the right side of the pulley as your pics show it to be running on the left side of the pulley.
May be the weave in the belt forcing it to run on the left side of the pulley.
Check the eccentrics on the bearings are set the same.
Mine does rub a little on the servo mount but seems to not affect performance.

Don't forget you can shim the centre pulley out to the right of the car as well, this will help to guide the belt further away from the centre.
