Mod Touring
1. Keven Hebert
2. JJ Wang
3. Sam Isaacs
4. Ryan Cavalieri
5. Chris Adams
6. Paul Lemieux
7. Rick Hohwart
8. Drew Ellis
9. Korey Harbke
10. Chris Tosolini

Stock Touring
1. Mike Gee
2. Sam Isaacs
3. Robbie Dodge
4. Eric Anderson
5. Brad Johnson
6. Craig Xavier
7. Drew Ellis
8. Bill Sydor
9. Mike Hanulec
10. Kyle Klingforth
I think Paul L. should be higher than 6th. He would still be winning 70% of the US races if he raced more. He is still the most talented racer in the US. The rest of us just practice more. Not sure I would put Cav on that list unless its asphalt only. Ralph should probably be on here as well now that he is running more as long as he keeps in on 4 wheels.

Stock Touring I think you are missing a few people like Larry Fairtrace*sp. Until someone beats Gee at a nationals, I think you are right in saying he gets the top spot. Kyle should also be higher than 10th considering he has won most races around in 17.5.

Is this across nitro (1/10th & 1/8th) & all electric classes?

To be considered "the best" I would think you need to be dominate in all categories. Very few guys on this list can say that outside of former world champ Ralph Burch, multiple national titles (across nitro and electric) Paul Lemieux. While JJ Wang, Tosolini, DJ Apolaro, and Scotty Grey fall in the category of give them anything with 4 wheels and a motor and they will compete with the best in the world (and yes beat all of us ).

Sure, you have guys who are dominate in their own categories like electric stock, 1/12th scale, and nitro, but I don't think being the best electric stock driver in the US has any weight on someone listed above, who on any given day will come out and win at a national level across any on road category.

I think there is an extra respect for guys like Cavalieri who can compete at a national and world level outside of just on road as well.

Ayrton Senna said, “I continuously go further and further learning about my own limitations, my body limitation, psychological limitations. It's a way of life for me”. If you are a one trick pony, you can’t be put on this list no matter how many time you were on the podium in 17.5 electric stock at snowbirds or the nationals if you never gone outside of your comfort zone to test your limits to see if you can compete with the best in mod touring or 1/8th scale nitro.

Just my 2 cents

No disrespect meant to anybody, just going off perception from the past year. I was trying to base my list on what people are capable of right now, not their ceiling. I think the black rug has affected some people more than others, too. If I made a carpet only list, I'd drop Cav and Rick since I haven't seen them on the black rug, and it takes some time to figure it out, both in setup and driving style.

I think Larry Fairtrace might be the most naturally talented racer in North America. Not having a local track to practice at is holding him back though. You've gotta be good and put in the time these days, talent alone isn't enough.

Looking at this yrs results only is hard enough to figure out ...
But looked over all the 13.5/17.5 classes and I came to this

1. Mike Gee
2. Sam Isaacs
3. Robby Dodge
4. Craig X
5-9 brad Johnson
5-9 Kyle Klenforth
5-9 Matt Lyons
5-9 Eric Anderson
5-9 Drew Ellis
10. Mike Hanalic
Tried doing it points based but that's not easy either ...
I'll let someone else handle mod. Lol
