hmmmm...it seems like it depends on which side your looking at it
If you have 4B, then going to 5A or 5B should make the link longer, and thus give you increased rear traction.
camber link length from longest to shortest according to set up sheet pics on camber link location#
5B
5A
4B
4A
If you use the B hole location, it wont rotate as easy as with location A...with the 3 deg rear toe, 5A will get the car to rotate easier. If you use 2 deg rear toe, then 5B will work a bit smoother than 3 deg and 5B...but 4B and 4A will get you better rotation and make the front end hook up better and give you better steering.
Using 5B vs 5A, will get make the front push more on corner entry. If you work on the car and get it to have more steering to get fix the push you get with 5B, then the rear will want to break off power entering a sharp turn. 5A will get the car to whip around quicker without front push.
If you still want more rear traction, try 6A, instead of 5B...just stay away from the B hole for now...it will be usefull on open tracks or combined with other settings...but for now, the 6A, 5A, 4A locations will work better over all.
Hope to see the Type R soon!!
Later

weird, on the manual the inner-most holes are 1, 4, and 7. 1 being the top and 7 being the lower.. i'm guessing tag is using 1B.. i apparently don't have a 17# so i went 15 rear and 20 front.. we'll see how that goes..
yohan when are you going to be running on wednesday night again? not sure when i can make it myself..

Try this. I was very fast at Coimbra with this setup. Long asphalt track with rubber tires.
tallyrc, by a quick look at your setup, you have to much static weight on the rear (you should aim at 50%-50%). That rear weight will make the car loose. (I am driving 52% at front and 48% at back)
You have thin oil at the front, that makes the car dive very fast at the front making the rear loose. You should make it heavier oil at the front to slow down the dive of the front.

About the links: I'm looking at the car as if the rear was facing me...it seems like you're looking at it from the front towards the rear, in essence we are talking about the same holes, but I'm using the names for the location from my perspective, which might not be right way
looking a the manual and looking at it from the front end towards the rear, now I see what your talking about, so your 4B, is actually the the longest link, and 4A would be the a bit shorter than that since you're using the inner hole on the hub. That would be equal to my rearward view of 6B or 6A

Droop
HI All
My Type R is running with high roll centers front and rear, my next race is on a bumpy low traction asphalt track would it be best to set the Droop at 3mm or 5mm? and what noticeable differences would there be between the two?
Thanks guys for all your help

Trakpower LiPo Top Deck Mod
Hi guys,
Just wanna share with you that the 4mm plugs in the Trakpower 4900 LiPo are placed narrower than the Orion 4800 Platinum pack which has no fitting problems. This does not allow the connectors to be pushed in properly without some grinding to the top deck. The photos are attached for easier reference.
For your information, I dipped the entire topdeck into a pail of water as well as the grinding stone (up till the collet). The graphite dust turned the water black within a few seconds and I flushed it down the floor trap with running water after i finshed dremelling. For the younger kids, please don't do this in your bedroom. Open air, or at least wear a mask. Drip superglue over the edging when the deck is dried.

Thats nice to know about the Trakpower. I was just about to buy that lipo, that might alter my decision. Several other people have mentioned owning that battery, but I don't recall anyone saying that the holes were too narrow.

Good, because I had my mind set on the Trakpower anyhow.

Lipo is well off the pase at a National. At least in carpet. I ran a Core 5000 it ran well. But I did not have the pop out of the corners as the Sub-C cars. I ran 17.5 also. For club racing lipo is great. In mod lipo works better. Rick Howart was running a Reedy 5000 pack and made the A in mod and was fast.
