I'm planning at being at Vegas again this year. It'll be nice to have another BMI out there. There was very few there last year. I believe 3 in 1/12th and 3 in WGT...or it might have been 2 in 1/12th and 4 in WGT...at either rate 2 of them in both classes were from Hawaii

ok, after the input of the racers, i am going to change the final color to orange/gold on all of the cars. The DB10RR and 12RR will both go through the changes. I have both cars modified now and pushing for a release at the end of the month. I will post pics of both cars with there new look shortly.

Jason a few posts back you mentioned changing the front end a little next.

With that in mind... what would you do different from the R5? Just curious because I was thinking about buying the parts to put the R5 on my bmi...

Thanks!

The DB12RR started out more biased towards high rear traction and racers set it up to reduce rear traction. Quite successfully I might add...Remember Schreff's runs last year!

The new car is more balanced. Stock racers can start from the middle and easily reduce rear traction and mod racers can start from the middle and easily add rear traction.

Now racers in all classes can get the balance they need more easily with less work on setups.

I wish you guys could see the car. Its totally NOT pink. Its an awesome super bright purple like I have never seen before. Its not Trinity or Schumacher Purple at all. I have to take some pics and mess with the color balance in Photoshop so it comes up on a computer screen properly.

When I worked at Schumacher I tried to get them to do away with the purple but the BMI purple is awesome.

i hope your kidding, i personally prefer the business-like battleship grey!

but seriously, a desirable mod would be more material around the forward rhs screw of the pod plate to bulkhead. i recognize that adding material at the spot would limit forward placement of the motor. but just a couple mm's would double the section available in that pinch point.
(the local carpet track closed, so trying to run on an indoor asphat track with HARD borders. i have become a very good strength and durability test mule)

I am going to make this the ferrari of 1/12th. We have already proven to be the highest quality, now it may be time to step it up once again and really spread the gap with the front end

maybe you could design a special designed front brace for the DB10RR?

I used the new carbon flexplates on my db10RR with 2s lipo and the overall feel of teh car is a lot better then with the G10 plates. It is more direct out and into corners it seems. Good job. Can't wait to try out the other new products.

That's a good approach, it's better to take a bit more time and offer a fully completed product than offering it in several parts. As I understand the frontend will be based on AE R5 frontend or will it be something completely new?

P.S.: A small tip for DB10 - get some nicer bodyposts
