I'm new to the site, as well as new to the island here. Been here about 5 months, and beginning to really like it. I used to own an E-Maxx as well as a Revo 3.3, though I sold them about this time last year. I was thinking about getting back into it, and I stumbled across this site. Good to see you guys are active on here! I have not been to The Hill, and actually don't even know where Courtney is! Lol. But I am interested in it. When is the next race you guys are having, or when do you get guys down there just to practice? I'd like to come down and check it out, as soon as I figure out where it is.
I have some questions. What type of cars are mostly driven? Are we talking mostly electric buggies, nitro truggies, MT's, etc.? I am looking to get brushless electric, as I have had nitro in the past and don't have any problems with tuning, but I plan on running in the sand, and don't feel like dealing with the problems that come with trying to keep sand out of the motor, not to mention the mess . I do want to get into racing, as that is something that always enticed me but was never really available, and I want to start with a class that most people are running in. Right now I am leaning toward a Revo Brushless, though I am open to pretty much anything right now.
I was also wondering where else there are tracks, and also where are the LHS's around here? I can't seem to find any info about anything, but I know there has to be something on this island! I'm not really looking for on-road yet, off-road is where I live. It's just too much fun! Although I have to say, drifting in a car that's a 1/4 inch off the ground does sound fun .
Thanks in advance!

Hi, I am new to the forums here, as well as fairly new to the island. It's good to see you guys are pretty active on this thread! I am looking to get back into RC's and stumbled across this thread while doing some searching. Glad I did! I swear I read almost the entire thread. There's a lot of good info in here. I have a couple questions for you guys.
What types of cars are mostly ran here? Are we talking electric buggies, nitro truggies, MT's, etc.? I know I want brushless electric, because I want to be able to run in the sand, and not have to worry about the hassle or cleanup that comes with sand and nitro. I have owned an E-Maxx and Revo 3.3 before, so I am familiar with both electric and nitro. But I want to get into a class that a lot of people are running.
I am also wondering where some LHS's are. I can't seem to find any info on that, but I know there has to be something. Also when is the next race at The Hill, or when do people mostly get together? I'd like to come down and check it out, as soon as I figure out where Camp Courtney is lol.
Thanks!
