Default HUGE TC3 PROBLEM

Hi Guys,

I have a big problem with where the small ball screws, screw into the front knuckles, they just keep ripping out all the time. Has anyone experienced this, and is there a way of solving this poroblem. I have heard that the losi xxx knuckles fit and they are a better fit, it seems every time i race even with out smashing in the slightest, after the race it is almost fallen out.

PLEASE HELP

Regards Brad p

I don't know about the Losi part, but it sounds like your knuckles are stripped. Buy a new pair, and this time be careful not to overtighten them. You could use super glue or epoxy as a temporary fix to re-thread your current knuckles, but it is just that, a temporary fix and will not last long.

epoxy is great...until u realise u cant really apply JUST ENOUGH!!!
i've had the ball stud,c-hub AND spindle stuck in FOREVER it's bcos the stud was epoxied to the collar.
as i had no spare ball stud,i actually had to incinerate the whole bunch to get the stud out lol.
it was great to watch the graphite burn..u guys should try it.
so my advise is,dont overtighten,in fact it can be a little loose.
next advice:forget graphite, use plastic(they dont bcome powdery after a while)
or try gentler stuff like threadlock.

i think that you can use the helicoil, hilicoil(however you spell it)

but it is the metal threads that you can thread into the steering knuckles

the losi ones arnt much better, so far the ae ones have a better feel(after you cut off the stoper that contacts the c carrier)

overtightning is the usual for striping out the knuckles, but that just means tighten till it stops, no more

It also destroys plastic. You could also use CA glue.

I'm not sure, but you might have a look at replacement ring gears for the front one-way, maybe that'll fit....

I just use a little bit of CA glue in stripped holes. But you have to make sure it fully cures before you put the screw back in.

are you using the white gears?

suposedley the white gears are made of a less friction material, and they have a tendancy to strip easier

and yes, the ring gear for the one-way should work on the spool

The regular diff ring gears wont fit, you have to use the AE one way ring gears.

the Losi ones are a little better and more throw give em a try, and you get a pair of castor block thrown in, but your right they do strip very easy.

Coxy.
