Crazy8, amainhobbies and ebay are great places to shop from. Unless you score a good deal on ebay amainhobbies usually has the best prices around. I love them, just don't tell my wife how much I spend there.

A bunch of people wil be out there Sunday working on the track 0900 to probably 1500. The only local hobby shop that sells 1/8 scale anything is RC Paradise in the Naval Kadena shopping center. I think all they have right now is 1 electric 1/8 buggy. They had fuel 2 days ago when I checked.

Picked up 16 more tent stakes from the px today. I dunno how much more we need but I can pick up more if need be. If anyone is looking for a 1/8 gas buggy, my neighbor has a pretty much brand new OFNA Hyper 9 for sale with a couple of motors.

Kadena BX has alot of the stakes on the shelf (15 or so packages). Do we still need any? How many?

I am still planning on being out there tomorrow (Sun). What is the roll call for people coming out?

Paul

Do we have a plan for what needs to be done still? Sorry for all the questions but I would like to have an agenda that way we're not wasting time.

Won't have any equipment for the next few weeks from Mike, I'll try to make it....

Agenda:

1/8 track:
stake down every 6-8 feet
make pit row
make #1 jump larger

1/10 track

pack and form jumps
lay out and stake tubing

kiddie track
layout, make jump, turns and tubing.

We need all the stakes we can, we are about 1/2 on the 1/8 track and 0 on 1/10 and kiddie track.

If I can get there I can bring my drills and saw.

Hope to see you...

For pit lane, do we have a plan on how it should look? Is it gonna be raised? If so, will it just be a raised dirt section of the track, or made outta wood? I have a feeling I already know the answer to that question, but I need to ask. I'll try and pick some more stakes up tomorrow.

Also, what can we use to pack the jumps on the 1/10 scale track? Does anyone have a lawn roller? And something to pull it!?!? Will we have the water hose again tomorrow?

If there is no skid or roller, the 1/10 track can at the least have all the jumps shaped and we can rake the whole track flat in prep for the roller.

You can always pack the jump by driving your POV on it. As long as it will clear the tops of the jumps and not cut them when going over them. Or just roll up one side and back down. Works great.

I picked up 10 more packages of the stakes (50) from the BX. I will be bringing my yellow cart (if you remember it from the PORN pictures) we can use it as a wheel barrow, a shovel, and a hoe. See you all in the a.m.

I'm pretty sure it's not for sale anymore. He ran it today and he has the "rc" bug again. As for the electric buggy trend...it is alive and kickin here but there was three nitro buggies out there today, and I know of a few more. So no, there is plenty of nitro buggies here for us to have a nice class with.

Paul...your D8 looked sick today...guess i better improve fast or i'm gonna get my ass kicked!

We have been working Sundays. Today went good, made some progress on the kiddie track. Most of us only worked for a couple of hours...then we went at it on the big track with our buggies. Hopefully it rains this week. I'd like to go up tuesday to start filling in some of the ruts. And I won't run on it so that whenever it does rain it'll start settling. Anyone have the time tuesday to join me?
