Really, droop affects how far your chassis can roll in a corner. Chassis roll transfers weight from side to side. Droop also can affect how much weight is transferred from end to end during acceleration and braking. Any increase of weight on one tire results to increased traction for that tire.

hm..... but i think say if u have 4mm front droop and 6mm rear droop then u cut the droop on both ends by 2mm
so u will ahve 2 mm front and 4 mm rear ...
wont u be cutting away all the traction u should have otherwise ??
i just dont understand how it will be better.......
i understand its a valuable tool in setting the on/off power stearing but ....

Since you decreased the front droop, you also decreased the amount by which the front rises on acceleration. This results in lesser weight transferred FROM the front towards the rear (during acceleration). This means, you're keeping more weight on the front tires and you should have more traction as a result.
Decreasing the droop on the rear also prevents weight from transferring from the rear towards the front on deceleration. This translates to more traction on the rear so your tail don't go whipping around during cornering.

Tamiya only makes 1° and 2° rear uprights.

I resently spoke to some of the TRF drivers from the US and they received the EVO3 kit for use in the US TOURING CAR CHAMPIONSHIPS at S&N's Trackside Raceway & Hobbies, January 9th - 12th, 2003
It will be interesting to see how well they will fair without any testing time with the new car....or extra parts, guess the M2 will serve as a decent back-up car.

front diff wear question
i replaced the front one-way w/a diff and metal outdrives. after about 6 mos, there seems to be excessive wear (see pic.) is this normal? im only running stock. are there steel outdrives available (the stock ones seem to be aluminum)? if i switch to delrin for the front, will it last longer? im under the impression that delrin is only for the rear because it may snap in a collision when used in front. thanks for any info

Go for the delrin outdrives I also had problem with the metal ones
never use them again.I had the dogbone stuck in that hole (like your picture shows) and I lost damping complitely.

New 414M parts announced
Tamiya Japan announced new bulkhead and chassis parts for the 414M...they appear to be the same parts that Dave Jun designed and has been running on his car for the last six months.
