If anyone races the Axis 2 on carpet with foams, have you tried the graphite upper deck used by Teemu Leino? What effects would that have on the car? Should I be using the front one-way or the diff? What about the ABS, should that be set tight or loose? Thanks for the tips.

Ty: I've never run with foams, but on carpet I would run the diff one way and probably leave the ABS loose (for more steering). Carpet tracks are always tight and high traction. The one ways will help turn the car better. As for the top plate, it would stiffen the car up more (eliminating traction) but I don't know if its really necessary. I would concider running the X battery brace as that will stiffen the car up too. Hope that helps...

TY, I do run on carpet alot and with Foam tires you do not want to run the front 1way diff, the car is much easier to drive with out it. You can run the ABS or the 1 way pulley if you can handle it. I run a custom cut top deck that is .110 thick so the graphite one that Teemu uses will work but is not the same as mine. When you put the top deck on make sure that the every thing is level like the front upper bulkhead to the motor mount and the rear upper bulkhead to the motor mount, b/c on mine I had to shim it up on the motor mount to get it all to sit even. Teemu has his own chassis that does not have the chassis doublers its almost like the axis 1 chassis so his fits right on. One thing that I have found is that you might want to try softer springs like 25lbs to 20lbs springs and move the lower mounting hole on the arm to the outside hole. This will make the springs stiffer but not make the car real hard to drive like it is when you run real stiff springs. Other then that just try to run your car the same front and back with a stiffer spring in the front, but same oil and pistons and locations on the towers. Also move the upper arms to the lower holes that will slow down the roll speed of the car and not let it over rotate with the higher grip.

Hi guys, I got my Axis 2 today(thanks SirSpeedy!), it has front oneway, and center ABS, and both swaybars..Im hoping to run it this Friday, I normally run an Atlas with a front swaybar and no oneways(too expensive!) Now, Im more than likely gonna run Corey's setup and see how that works, should I run the oneways and swaybars along with that setup? I run about half of an oval and we have maybe 2 really sharp turns, the track is permanent and is pretty smooth asphalt...Thanks for your help in advance

That car has the standard setup on it. The one with Red springs and 80wt. That is the setup you should start with. Good Luck. If you have any questions about that car, just ask Chris Seeba. He races at your track.

Have the Team Drivers been using this car? It says that it will be out in October but has there been any testing prior to its release?

Given how different the new car will be, I take it that there is no chance in hell for an upgrade kit.

whoa, wait a second, you mean, there is two pulleys on the rear diff, or am I looking wrong? It looks to me like the belt to the front is rolling on a pulley on the rear diff....hmmm
