finally got a setup sheet up on the CRC site for the GenX10...

http://www.teamcrc.com/crc/modules.p...showpage&pid=7

Tom Firsching's TQ and winning Cleveland setup is at the top, and there's a blank one down the page on the right.

Not real fancy, but it works.

Ok guys getting ready to step it up a notch and pick up a tire truer to complete my equipment. What is everyone using that is priced reasonably but yet does a good job? Also what arbor are you using with your particular truer and where do you buy it?

Thanks in advance

I know I have been looking at it but I know guys on the forum that are using less expensive with good results and since I am on a budget at this time not looking at Hudy though I would want one.

i use the integy automatic truer and it works great except for the cutting bit that it comes with. Bought a hudy bit from ashfordhobby.com and now it cuts as good as a hudy for a little over $200 total instead of $400 - $500.

Default Gen X10

Guys really struggling to get my GEN X10 setup.. and have issues on carpet

Motor Novak 10.5SSPRO, Power Demon Lipo 20C 7.4V

Does anyone have a decent setup that will work on this car cause I'm at a loss and can driver my TC car quicker which shouldn't be the case well hopefully thats not going to be the case for long..

Got some questions so any help is appreciated.

a) When hitting full throttle out the corner car will pull to one side (not always same side) so can't use the power !. (diff has been rebuilt now and three of us have the same problem) ?

b) Can we use LIPO 7.4v and 10.5BL or is it to much for the car ?

Does anyone have any setup sheets (with lipo) or advice we can use to help us on our way to get these cars running so we can race ?

I too use the Integy automatic tire truer with a RC4Less($30) arbor that does both the front and rear tires.

I use hacksaw blades as cutting bits on mine.

I use 3T X12 LRP with 2s2p A123 in mine without issues. It hauls and stays straight.
I use 32P gearing, 54/10. Spur is from Traxxas.

My guess is you could be spinning the tires. That power combo is pretty crazy. I think you should motor down (17.5) and sneak up on it.

I look forward to seeing some single cell lipo setups. I plan to fiddle with it occasionally through the summer. Hope to be dialed by fall carpet season. I'm trying to get the class to take off, so the car has to be dialed and looking fast to get people interested.

For a) check the axle is running true in the car. Make sure the side links are the same length, and that the motor pod is square. I had this same problem until I found out my motor pod was tweaked. The easiest way to check is to measure from the inside of the pod (Motor out) where the axle goes thru the bearings, to a point that is centered on the car. (I used the center screw hole for the front bumper. IF the measurements are different you will have to take the pod appart for further investigation.

For b) Yes! I run a 10.5SS, GTB, with TP4900's And LOVE the car! Took awhile for the setup to be right, but now that I have found it, the car is totally smooth, and blistering fast. Awesome fun!

Also, what type of body are you running?

Shawn.

10.5 BL/Lipo is workable.

1. Also try lowering the Trottle EXP curve on the radio to like -50 to -100 or what feels right to you.
try it and youll see why.

2. also set tweak on the course. full trottle the car at stop position. which ever way it goes tweak the adjust screw till it shoots straight at full punch.

3. and a must on a good body that helps with downforce..
so far LOLA bodys work best for 200mm or P905B for 235MM setup
maybe the NSX body, ima try one soon.

I have tried the lola, p905b, corvette and just painted up a Mulsanne for tomorrow and see how that handles.

Unhappy rear axle adjuster threads came loose during assembly

hi!
A friend had his adjuster threads came loose from the rear axle shaft during assembly! tightning by hand only! now the diff is loose. Is there a replacement diff axle? Can he use an axle from other brand of pan-car? It is now glued back in, but still it feels unsafe that it comes loose so easily.

Any good fixes out there?

Thanks!
/Johnny
