Thanks..... I feel that the high grip surfaces slow my car down to a crawl at three degree rear toe....

If conditions change and the car loosens up a bit I first experiment with different rear wings. This is on a GT10 or USGT body where a low or high down force wing can give just the right amount of rear stability and maintain that nice rotation through the turns that shaft drive cars seem to deliver. I usually keep around 4-5 different wings of varying DF. I also run a ball diff which allows for a wide variety of tightness to get that rear end working to perfection.

Default Help please.

Want to convert an Exo6 from 64 to 48 pitch gearing, who makes a 48 pitch spur for the evo6, and where to start on spur pinion for 17.5 blinky, For Tamiya track.

I use 66 or 60 teeth Robinson Racing for small tracks. FDR really depends of track and rules. On small ones I use 4.5-5.0 FDR on big one less than 4. In our blinky mode timing on the motor could be changed.

So like a 66 25 for a medium track in 48 pitch?

Go with a 60, I think a 66 might be too big.

66 and 25 would give you 6.6FDR which is by far to low.
Formula is Spur/Pinion and than * internal ratio (2.5 for Evo 6)

I would start witch something closer to 4/4.5

Use this spur;
ARC R104161 CNC Spur 58T (48dp)

Pinions- motor dependent so stock up on 38-42 teeth.

I just purchased the trf419x shocks for this bad boy, any advice on the brand of springs to use? Xray? Yokomo? Tamiya?

Like I suspected, the suspension always added another 0.5 to 1 degree toe in the rear even with the same arm mounts front and rear... Most stock setups with 2 degrees were actually 3 degrees or more, scrubbing speed, etc....

Where did this come from. When I use the setup tools it shows the exact correct toe in.

You can use either the SMJ short springs, progressive, or the Xray springs, both the linear and progressive. I use progressives in the front and linear in the back. I play around with both kinds and sometimes run both brands on the car (SMJ front/ Xray rear) All depends on grip levels of the track.

What shock towers are you using with them?
Rick Vessell likes this.

Sorry nubs, but that measurement was not on an evo6... It was on another car....
