I've just taken my center diff out and cleaned the old oil out, regreased the outdrives and seals, and put it back together with fresh oil. I've been using the Exotek Center diff plate for some time and it's always seemed a bit notchy. Anyone tried to fix this or is it just that way? Seems like the center diff is quite a bit more notchy than the rear. I'll be taking them out for rebuild next...
You should re-shim it so its smooth. Different diff cover might not be the same. Mine is shimmed per instructions and is smooth though.

Figured out the issue with my center, diff the screws were just a little bit too tight. Loosened up and re-seated (possibly it wasn't sitting flat too). Now it's like butter

I just went thru mine the other day to rebuild for the start of indoor season this weekend and everything still looked good on the car. Rebuilt the diffs and shocks, checked out the outdrives, dogbones and bearing, yep still good.

Won the last outdoor trophy race of the year here, Woo-hoo. Indoor means carpet racing, any updates on the new slipper yet. Worlds was along time ago and they had them then, what's the hold up with production? Looking to copy David's car set up at worlds to see how it works on carpet. Seems running the motor in the saddle position and swapping sides with the electronics worked well.
I'm just waiting to see if parts become available from hb. I'm pretty sure I want this over the tlr 2.0
If no answer by next month, it will likely be the tlr for me

I think xray replacement parts are spendy. Replacing outdrives and drive axles will hurt when the time comes to replace them. I have not been shut down getting parts I need online. Seems Losipartshouse house and Amain have me covered 99% of the time.

Same with the YZ-4...the belts don't require more maintenance than shafts

Hows the 22-4 front pivot brace bulkheads doing for the guys? j/k haha! I'm not just talking about replacing belts, just working on the belt cars in general are just more of a headache. Have you ever worked on an XB4 in comparison? Easier to work on than a 2wd buggy!

Anyone know where I can buy the Avid floating servo mount?
Any comparison between the Avid chassis and Schelle alum chassis.
