That is good to know. I am pretty much a novice at F1, with much to learn. I am interested in F1 for the scale appearance. I have fond memories of running pan cars in the late '80s and the Tamiya is just a skinny pan car

I am in no big rush to get a body as racing is about to slow to a crawl [well, actually stop] for the summer while everyone goes out to play in the dirt.

Racing on the LHS indoor asphalt track will pick up again in Fall. I'm not a fan of off-road, just not my thing, and out-door on-road is painful in 90+ degree F/ 90+% humidity of Summer. So, I'll spend the summer working, practicing occasionally and preparing cars for the Fall races season.

What is the best way to secure the side pods on an F-60 body. I've just painted the pods and body in preparation to put on some Renault r31 Decals (thanks BPShadow ).

i found some thin double sided tape in the scrapbooking area of my local wal-mart...use that and some shoe-goo and my are attached for good

Thanks for the reply So you put the double sided tape down first then use the shoe goo to glue the pod and body togther? So the shoe goo obviously doesnt harm the paint.

I just use shoe goo. It will not harm the paint. And you will never get the side pod off again

i really used the double sided tape to hold the pods in place -while the shoe-goo dried.. but really the shoe-goo is for holding everything securely - the tape works, but a good shot will knock them loose...i used this really thin stuff because i wanted nice smooth line on the body

nah, the shoe-goo won't harm the paint

Also does it mean the diff is too tight if the car snaps sideways when you are breaking?

It means you are locking up the tires because you have too much brakes

Check that your balance is good, no tweaks in the rear pod and not too much pod droop.

Shoo goo will kill chrome paint too- spaztix chrome used on mclaren bodies to be exact.

OK, one for all you experts out there...

I need a body for my F1R and I like this one a Ferrari: Ferrari 643
quesition is will it work with the F104 front end?

I believe it may fit. Just remember the arms are offset about 1.5cm further back so you will need to work out the size of the hole to cut for the front arms.

I just did this one with a Mclaren MP4/6 with trg advance front and rear wings (though the front wing needs trimming as it touches the tyre on full lock)
