Default 2nd pratice night...

car hooked up well other than some over steer. Need a swaybar and lightened outdrives. Broke several rear wheel hubs. Slow glancing impacts. Don't get the molded graphite wheel hubs. No front arms broken after putting on the NTC3 bumper. The car works well for small tight carpet tracks. So far, I'm pleased, considering I have not used all my tunning options. I'll get some of the new Losi's shocks when they come out. Otherwise the foam dampers are working well for this track.

Default NTC3 Bumper

So... does the NTC3 (RPM) bumper fit? I was wondering when RPM was going to put one out for the TC4.
That was the best upgrade I made on my TC3

You can use the RPM NTC3 front bumpers on the car. However you will need the rubber grommets or whatever they are called to secure it. You might be able to get something at the hardware store instead of buying the complete NTC3 front bumper.

you may want to send an email to this guy [email protected]
He makes a wide front bumper that's a direct replacement for the stock bumper. I have one on my car. I've used his bumpers in the past on my TC3. It's takin' a beating and is still in pretty good shape. And it has TC4 carved into it (makes it look a little cooler)

Default NTC-3 front bumper

It's all just nitro TC-3 stuff & an RPM Nitro TC-3 plastic bumper!
first get a nitro TC-3 front foam bumper & the nitro TC-3 front bumper grommets, then just get a RPM nitro TC-3 plastic bumper or a Associated nitro TC-3 plastic bumper, it fits right on!

Hi Guys,

Just want to post a quick note that we got our entire shipment of TC4 parts in stock (hop-ups and spares) and we should have a very complete line of TC4 parts by tomorrow morning.

question,

Charlie, I was @ my LHS "lookin" through a NTC3 manual, and I did not notice the "grommets" for the bumper anywhere in the instructions....whould you happen to have the part number? I did pick up the RPM bumper, but I didn't think I needed to pick up the upper and lower AE "plastic" pieces from the NTC3 kit (or do I) Aren't the upper bumper pieces fromt eh NTC3 and the TC4 "identicle"???? as for the lower plastic piece, I noticed the the NTC3 piece is where the lower ginge pins mount to, but the lower piece on the TC4 is strictly for the bumper....

Default I'm having a problem with...

the NTC3 bumper on my TC4. The RPM plastic bumper keeps bending down and the center pops up. Anyone know who makes a hard NTC3 foam bumper? Perhaps this will keep it from popping up and the front bending down.

Default Anyone else have problems with...

the center shaft? I think it my be too long and it does not float as much as the TC3 one did. I noticed the shaft ends were scuffed from the screws in the drive cups. Screws are tight and the foam pads are in place. I noticed the shaft pushed through the pads. I pushed in the cars ends and it binds the shaft. It does it in alittle less than 1mm. Anyone suggest a fix?

Use a soft O-ring on them... vice the foam spacers... or you can swithc to the TC3 drive shaft and cups

Couple comments on the Nitro bumper mod:

As charlie o just said, you can use the stock NTC3 bumper *or* the RPM NTC3 bumper.

Not being familiar with the NTC3 I read the above posts and thought I had to order the RPM bumper. I also bought the stock NTC3 bumper to get the rubber grommets, and if I knew then what I knew now, i'd just use the stock NTC3 bumper.

With either bumper I found that I had to dremel off a bit of the middle hole in order to get the bumper to lie flush on the bumper mount. I had to remove a bit more material in order to get the bumper to not collide with the front suspension mount block on impact. I suggest you guys take a look at this when doing this mod.

ghoppa: The grommets are part 2232
