We tried setting up a track inside a gym too.. but it was WAAAAAAY!!! so slippery.. Mod class was running stock motors for faster times!!! and there was no way in heck can you set up your car for that kinda slick surface.. How were you able to get traction from that kinda surface? Our surface at the time was the polished wood the NBA would play on.. what surface were you on? I'd really like to know how you set up the car for a surface like that. So maybe we can try doing the gym thing again.. heheh.. thanks

yeah your right Deves it,s in a gym.
lighting is not as bad as it look,s wrong camera settings
track was good though nice and flowing if you get it right,a world of pain if you get of line while setting up for next series of corners

Is everyone else breaking these as often as I do? I try to avoid driving my car around on its lid (it pushes just a little that way). Anytime I take a serious tumble the suspension survives but the nipple breaks off the rear posts. I've resorted to drilling out the nipple and using a screw but then I end up splitting the post on rollover.

I'm actually probably the most experienced lid-driver in this forum... and I've not broken a thing.

You might want to use the posts from the M-Parts set (50874). trim them down and they work perfectly. I've actually never tried the A Parts post (the one the manual tells you to use)...

Your experience with the rear posts - that's happen to me a couple of times now. I've since replaced them with the ones that came with the TA04R and have not had any problems since.

Steve W.: It seem that you are out of stock on the body posts. Your listed price is $17.99. I'm sure that's a fair price (as all your prices are decent), but the cost of replacement parts is one thing that made me hesitant about purchasing a Tamiya. Since I may race 2-3 different body styles, I'd like to have several lengths of body posts. I don't really need the other parts included on the tree. I thought that it was also interesting that the cost for a replacement carbon fiber shock stay is less at $15.99 than the body post parts tree.

As I mentioned some months ago before I bought my 414M2, I drove Yokomo for nearly 6 years. Yokomo seems to have the lowest prices for replacement parts.

With Tamiya, it seems that they charge a premium for replacement parts, and that's really unfortunate.

I hope that jwwu is correct about the fitment of the posts from the M-parts kit. Tower has those for about $8.

Yes, the TA04 rear body posts will work on the 414M. The HPI body post set (part # 3371) includes front and rear body posts that will fit the 414M.
