The manual shows the shocks are not threaded.

What's up with having to shave the rear pulley so that the spur gear will clear it? (See previous build pics)

I had some bad luck from them. One time it took them 3 days to get a envelope worth of items shipped out of there office in california. Called them about it, and could not get a hold of a person who spoke understandable english. It took me a week to get items from socal to southern oregon. Some people have had good luck! But I had a bad experience. So there is both sides to the spectrum.

Nice pics, over gear! I can't wait to hear your track report. There is one coming, right?

Did you have to shave the rear pulley in order for the spur gear to clear it?

Looks like TRF shocks, which is probably really the only upgrade this kit would need. Even the threaded pink ZERO shocks are only $25 a set, and would improve the kit dramatically.

I'm thinking that with this car, you could probably build an entire brand new VTA turnkey race setup for under $300-350.

Hmmm...

i have Tamiya shocks and servo saver on the car now. my hands are sore screwing so many screws into plastic. ok, i'm just lazy.... i jack those parts off a ta05...

the chassis is surprisingly straight. the first time i put it on the tweak station, it's almost spot on.

Test report coming soon

why are composite shocks inferior? Curious How bad can they be?

I have had several Xray TCs with kit composite shocks, they worked flawlessly.

Whelp, I know how sloppy the stock Zero shocks are and they are threaded aluminum. I guess they couldn't be too much worse.

I don't believe the plastic Zero S shocks are threaded, are they?

definitely unthreaded. I had a few tamiyas with plastic shocks before, never knew why some ppl had to go with alum. ones since they're so smooth and never failed
