I see what the fast guys are doing, but I just need more laps to try to duplicate it. When I go to the bigger races to watch, ALL of the TLR pros (all kids to me) are very, very helpful. That's why I sold all of my Tekno and Serpent stuff eight months ago and am now a TLR lifer! Great stuff, and even greater support!

Yeah pro-4 to a small extent slow if faster. Basically work on not pulling full throttle all the time on the infield. As I said before the these things have a ton of power and usually not enough traction so we tend to over drive them a lot. Some guys can run full punch and when you can fast lap times are possible but most of us (me included) have to drive a little smoother line. Watching top pro's (Cav, Maifield, Hartson, Evans, Phend) there cars are always in control and they are hitting there lines. My suggestion is to go slow enough to make sure you are hitting your lines. As you get comfortable going slow and hitting your lines then pick up the pace a little each lap. It is harder then it sounds as I am still learning patience when driving modified cars and I have been playing for 20 years!

Took the truck out yesterday for the first time on an outdoor track...running the dunford set up ...indoors the truck was money...It was great outdoors, but rotated a little to much...the track is loamy, but loose...i put on a thicker front bar and that helped...any other suggestions?

The original setup is a little more steering neutral and may be better on a looser track.

Thanks Dave, I'll postpone installing the servo till the end of the build and hope I'll find i in another bag. Buying standard hardware is not easy around here.

Does running no front sway give you more grip in the front and is better for indoor?

If you don't find it in one of the other bags I have a few solutions to help you get out on track.
1 Check with your local shop if they can get the replacement sent to you from TLR.
2 If your local shop carries TLR they might have either a 5-40x7/8 screw you could cut the head off. Or if they stock TLR 1/8 parts you could use LOSA6045 which is the same size steering link and set screw from the 8ight series of vehicles.
3 I just checked and you could find a 3x22 set screw or cut down a 3mm bolt to 22mm long. I just tried installing a 3x8 screw into a new tie rod and could not pull it out with pliers so you should be fine using a 3mm screw. I would use some tire glue on the 3mm screw when you thread it into the tie rod.

We discovered this by accident when one of our guys had his become detached. It creates more body roll in front and it turns on a dime. We haven't tried it outdoors or in super loose conditions, but for indoors, its amazing. Crazy good steering, while still hooked up nice in the rear. Just detach it at the ball and try it, that way you can go back in 30 seconds if you don't like it.

Casper if i just swap the diff fluids to 5, 5, 3 instead of the 5, 7,5 would that slow the rear end from coming around...I love the way the truck is handling other than that

The center diff mainly affects how the car accelerates. If it gets too low, you will rock back onto the back tires under power and balloon the fronts. 5K should be safe but I'm running 7K right now and it seems pretty solid front to rear.

I'm using the latest Losi guys set up except 5-5-3 and all is great put push and can't turn out off corners. What can I do, I may be diving into deep.
