Now you're talking!! So they are really light. Have you compared them with a SpecR or Tamiya unit?
I already have a HMX with two Tamiya diffs but I think I'll buy a second one with the new gear diffs and race my older one in vintage
Please let us know how good they are on the track....

One advantage of the gear diff is you can fit the pulley to the side instead of the normal position which makes doing the mod to the spur gear holder / layshaft so you can run standard pinions an easy job.
Shame its snowing in the UK so i wont get to track test it for a while.

Gear diffs
Hi fellow Corally drivers, Iam a Corally fan and have been for some years , first car is the assassin single belt right through to the hmx. Love the build quality and ease to work on and durability.finally got the new gear diffs but find they are very notchy is there a remedy cheers steven

Yeah, I got two gear diffs too and mine are a bit notchy. Just a little bit, but definitely there. I'll probably run them in on the bench with some sticky grease and then clean and fill up with oil.

How about brad Johnson's nat set up?
Can you post your set up from last weeks nats?
#404
We've found the diffs tend to be a bit notchy at first. We like to build them with the red Corally lube, run them once, and then rebuild them. They should be smooth after that.
There's also some new internal gears coming out for the diff that are a bit stronger for guys running mod.

Anyone looking in getting the new hmx should not think twice. I'm about finished building the new (carpet kit) by far best build I've had in years with Corally. Don't hesitate call CorallyUSA or superior hobbies and get your hands on this kit. Their is going to be a build write up soon to be up on the CorallyUSA.com website so keep a look out on that !
