Questions?? Clutch problem, HELP! O.S. CV-R .18

I sat down to replace my Kyosho motor with my shiny new O.S. CV-R .18, and SNAP the shafts are different diameters (5mm O.S., 7mm Kyosho) and the Kyosho clutch does not fit! I did not see that coming... The flywheel fits to the shaft via a compression collar. Does anyone know of an adapter to make the clutch fit this 5mm shaft? Or a different clutch that I can use?

In the image below, the left engine is the O.S. and engine on the right is the Kyosho:

EDIT --> I see that O.S. has a motor with a similar shaft, but it's got a rotary carb and my servo is set up for a slide carb. So I'm open to any solutions!

You'll probably get help if you post this in the Monster Truck forum....

Default Help

Associated has several crankshaft adapters p/n's 7602 or #7604,#7603,#2312 You might have to cut the shaft with a special cutoff nut.

when i ran a OS 18 cv-rx in my t-maxx classic, i had to cut the shaft down and use an adapter. Also you can remove the rotary carb and install a slide type carb. The kyosho carb may fit, not exactly sure, i dont have any experience with them. If it doesn't your best bet would be to purchase a new slide type carb for it.
