I've been reading about what you feel about your asphault springs. I'm impressed and wondered if you had an idea which spring kit I should start with, or if there was a way to weigh the car and get an idea where to start? Right now the car is plowing on entrance, then loose, but pick the throttle up and its quite drivable. Hard on front tires, lol Chris
It depends on the size of the spring perch. If they are 13mm, I would go with the RSD TC6 springs, if they are 14mm, I would try the Spec R Spring kit for XRAY (the soft kit).

The Losi car is a bit wider on it's weight distribution, so my guess is something around 16-17 lbs is where you are going to want to start on the medium to high grip tracks.

Ethan, I will get on it in a little while.

On another note, the bumpers for the TC6/ XRAY T4/ and Blanks are in production. They should be ready in about 2 weeks.

Lastly, I just got notice that our XRAY T4 25/30mm Fan Mount is on its way from the factory. This little bugger is hella cool.

Thx Cristian, I have 25in,oz springs on it now and I was thinking something under 20 was going to be better. I had some assoc springs and they didn't fit the perches or collars. Guess I should be ordering some springs, thx Chris

Cristian

What do you think will work better on asphalt for a tc6.1.
I already have your 6.1 spring set but am tempted by the lower shock tower and short spring set that you offer.
I am running on the medium grip asphalt in Austin if it makes any difference.

On my TC6, which is set up for blinky 17.5, I run silver springs all around. Just like on the XRAY. However I have not yet perfected the set-up on the car. It is VERY FAST for blinky, but a little loose in mod conditions.

After the Nats I will mess with it a little bit more.

Just want to say thanks to Christian for super service, I do have a question about the retaining clips on the V2 DCJ's , i have watched the video, but still the clips seem to fit a little loose, is this a concern ? or will they still keep the pins in place?

Which video did you see?

As for the clips, you can look at the article here.

The clips should be fairly snug, not loose. Some clips might need a little more crimping and if needed, you can even clip a little off of the large clip to crimp it further. Typically I have been running a black clip on the skinny side and small silver on the large side.

Cristian
I got my 6.1 lower shock towers today.
What hole on the lower towers do you find works well?

Default New XRAY Fan Mount

RSD099 RSD XRAY T4 Universal Fan Mount

This RSD Aluminum Universal Fan Mount is designed to be used with your XRAY T4 and T3 line of vehicles. The Fan Mount installs on the chassis hole behind or infront of the motor intended to use the XRAY OEM Motor Guard.

The fan works with most 25, 30, 35 and 40mm fans. It is designed to be held in place by ONLY 1 screw on the chassis and 1 screw on the mount. It's design is simple, light weight and it makes working on your TC much easier.

Default Back in Stock

Hi folks! All of our RSD DCJs are back in stock. The couplings are back as well.

We should also be receiving our new bumpers today or Monday.

On another note, if you are attending the ROAR Nats and need me to bring something for you, please try to place an order over the weekend. This way I can get it packed in along with my equipment.

I will bring some product along with me to have trackside, but it won't be much.

Not likely. The hole positioning is not quite right. The only way you could would be to use our fan mount base for the TC6 and servo tape it to the chassis. But then, it kind of defeats the purpose.
