Hey Guys

About to start building my Wildfire tonight (first TC), do you have any tips for a first time TC builder? I have built tons of offroad cars/trucks and pan cars but looking for specific advice for the VBC. Thanks

Sand the backs off the diff gears, and shim the shock pistons so they're tight (I do .1mm under and .1mm over the piston.) Grease the dcj's up and flip the clips around them so they can't catch on the hub. That's about it.

Sand then seal the edges of the chassis and shock towers with ca glue. Also file down the edges of the battery tape slots, so they don't cut the tape that holds down the battery! I drilled a hole in each shock cap to eliminate rebound. Start with a setup from www.gridworksracing.com Take your time and have fun with the build!

I got most of everything built, I am missing a M3x10, and also missing 2 of the bearings for the C-hubs so now on the hunt for these parts...ugh

You can also file down the little bump on the steering knuckle as it hits the C hub. This will give you more steering throw.

I have and just about to complete the build to race at the Australian round of AOC as for comparing the difference none really except for the alloy chassis which looks well made, will not be running it in NSW no tracks have the grip which would make it worth while using it. The main thing is you get all the parts that people buy as well as the Alloy Chassis great value.

VBC setting themselves apart from the rest in that you have to buy all the extra's whereas they are supplying the extra's at a cost which is cheap and bolt together and go racing with the ability to adjust the car.
