RC8, difficult to build?

not hard at all cause it comes already build. all you have to do is put servos and motor in and your good to go lol. but i would take it apart and redo the diffs and shocks just in case they messed up at the factory. but its not had at all to re-build the rc8. i learned with out a instruction book lol.

Nope....the car is a 'race roller'. Car is already assembled except radio, tires and engine. Body needs to be painted and trimmed for engine clearance also. The 'service pack' is a list of updated parts that have already been installed on the car, although some cars may have had the service pack thrown in a bag into the box.
But the car is pretty much built. Definitely need to double check all metal-to-metal screws cause some can loosen. I lost a front kingpin screw on mine because it shook loose....

It sounds like it comes partially assembled turnbuckles, shocks and diffs. but this the B not the straight RC8. Not authority though as I have not looked at a boxed RC8B yet.

The FT RC8 (old car, I guess) comes 90% assembled. You need to build the radio tray and mount the electronics and your choice of tires. The RC8B (new car) will have preassembled shocks, diffs and something else I'm forgetting right now. 
As far as difficulty to (re)build, it's not hard. No exotic diff shimming is necessary. The shocks are straightforward to build. You're already used to CVDs from 1/10th scale. You'll be fine.

Just follow the manual that comes with it and you will be ready for the track.

I grew up across the Causeway from you but went to SLU in Hammond. Hope things have gotten back to normal around there.
