yup that's the facility but it should be an old image since its the old layout on this google earth image.

about the track being blown out, to be honest, it was not as blown out as it seems in the photos, few set-up adjustments and the car drives great. 25000 laps?? i dont think so, alot more IMHO, 3 weeks, 10 hours a day, 100+ drivers and many many many laps. i think it stood up quiet well to all the abuse.

On the regular google maps I typed in "RC Power boat race track Thailand" and it brought it up.....clicked "satellite" image and you can see the track. I dont have Google Earth on my work computer.

Look, first off the whole place looks like a section of run down slumlord property..Its the WORLDS for christ sake.

Just because its a 3rd world country doesn't mean they couldn't borrow a weed eater at least....

Just for prides sake, do you think they might groom the track BEFORE THE WORLDS BEGIN?

Could you imagine looking at the nauseous color while trying to hold a line?

HORRIFYING!!!!LOL!!!!
Dude have you been to the track before ? charlie is a legend and the track is state of the Art probably the only track in the world with those type of facilities. His workers work day and night on that track even when no racing is on .

Of course they will groom the track before the worlds but why do it during pratise when it will be destroyed again .

You think the thais dont have pride ? of course they do just because of some slums around the place doesnt mean the worlds will be a slum venue .there are slums all over the world including europe ,Australia and the usa .

Buy a airline ticket and come and enjoy the worlds even as a spectator as it will be a fantastic event for all to remember .

OK..OK.. Its a wonderful off road track.

Maybe the pics dont do the place justice...
I would still like to think that when the best drivers in the world show up, representing the all the competetive manufacturers, that the place could put a good effort in making the the venue look better...
Maybe racers in the south are just spoiled with track owners that take pride in their tracks and put a good face forward...

I'd like to see if one of the tracks in Tennessee could hold up as well as the World's practice session. Think about it, 30+ drivers running 2-3 gallons each is a total of 60-90 gallons of gas burned for everyone, and that is how it looks afterward? I think we all should get lessons from the owner on how he gets the track to hold up so well.
