If I'm deciphering that accurately, I'd say the Ride tires are similar to commonly used DOT legal road race or autocross tires. Enough tread to be considered a "road worthy" tire by the DOT, but just barely.

No, they don't look as realistic as a conventional treaded tire, but for the increased longevity I think I'm okay with it.

Also Hobby Stop West in Northwood Ohio. Carpet is less then 1yr old. Just now getting a USGT class going though but it seems to be growing. (at least I know I am building a car and so is a friend)

They do. And I never thought I could say this about foams, but they're loud. Seriously, I removed a foam to take a closer look and putting it back into the tire it squeaked so much it sounded like mice were having a party under my desk!

If you care about the testing going on at Daytona this week and haven't heard, the prototypes (DP, P2, and PC) cars have all been parked due to incidents yesterday of two cars getting airborne. It is my understanding that both cars were DPs and both incidents were due to a tire problem that led to a spin.
Somewhat ironically, the Deltawing Coupe has not been grounded.

Wow, I hope USCR gets all the bugs worked out. I'm looking forward to some good sports car racing next year.

Speaking of sports car racing, FSN2 has been broadcasting the WTCC and the FIA GT series.

Oh no... I thought this was USGT, not USDP/P2/PC.

Default Rear Wing Question

What are the specs and options for the rear wing?

Can you put a TC lexan wing on the rear if it meets the wing height requirements?

Thanks

I think that'd be legal as long as it met the other wing requirements.

FWIW, as cool looking as some of the Prototype bodies are, I would personally prefer to keep with the intent of the class, i.e. not "Can Am or IMSA" styled bodies. I like that this is a "door slammer" kind of class, but perhaps I'm in the minority.

I'd have to scroll back further than I'm willing to at the moment, but I think that RobK has already ruled that the Corvette DP is USGT legal. Will have to see if he feels the same after seeing the McAllister DP and if he'll legalize it.
Personally, I agree with @TommyR. Of course, my opinion and $1.29 will get you a cup of coffee at one or two places.......maybe.
