I would agree, that receiver "shield" doesn't do much of anything except look good by hiding the black receiver plastic. It doesn't shield the wires or plugs where they connect, it doesn't seal or waterproof anything, no dust protection...calling it a "shield" is practically a misnomer. Receiver "bling" is all it is.

i guess you could use it in place of added weight? i had though of making a modders mesh box to house my rx, esc, Cap and PT and it would look pretty cool for sure, but adds weight, takes away from the whole fast plug and play and would probably inhibit airflow around said electronics. i just make it a point to not have them hang off the chassis if possible. let the cf take the hit, though in my Team magic, thats pretty much impossible.

What's holding your fans placed behind the motor on TCs? I need to reconfigure my cooling since the motor is overheating and decided to put the 2nd fan behind the motor but the only two ways I see to fix the fan are CA or quality double sided tape, none of which I'd like for the job
