Blue Tac, hot melt glue. I am sure other would do. Unless its some thick grease type putty.
Interesting. I thought I had read that locking the diff on these things has more negative effects than positive. I may have to give this a try. I like the putty idea as it's easily reversable if you don't like it.

Thanks

One of my club's very fast guys used the stock gear diff, but filled it with 300,000 silicone diff fluid and once assembled used CA to seal it completely. In use it was virtually a sold front spool and he was TQ and amazingly fast all day.

Default NEW red chassis kit

I've just updated my M-05 and here's a pic with the new red chassis kit installed.

The red looks nice... the combo with blue I can live without! Fortunately my Mini is almost all black so a red chassis might look nice alongside my TOP tourers!

Re: locked diffs. I haven't had a great deal of track time with the M-05, but running on carpet, I cannot get the car to run straight with one, the steering is always fighting itself. I find the open diff loses too much momentum mid-corner. My favourite so far is a gear diff with very thick grease (Mugen super grease). It has the right balance between confident straight line running and corner momentum.

The all pinkish-red look is overkill and I've been thinking on swapping out the rear shock tower with the kit black one for added contrast. I also kept the trays for the ESC and receiver in black.

looks nice.. Black and Blue may be better..

you may get away with a black, red and silver look - stripping away the anodized blue color..

still, it's your car.. your choice..

Strip off the blue and I think it'll look better.

Only my opinion.

The blue kills the red/pink & black combo.

My M05-R is all Black & Blue Only TRF/Tamiya hop-up I don't have is the sway bars. lol

Dont worry Timbulb, im sure you can be pretty on the inside if not on the out....

And yeah i think it would look heaps better if you ditched the blue, it is so wrong!
I would probably get a black texta/sharpie and colour the bits in a bit.

Red/pink is always faster. LOL

Perhaps Tamiya may release a Pink pimped out MO5R with additional hop up bits the same colour.

Latest you tube videos from Grahoo. Interesting he has now changed to a long wheel base mini and describes how he builds his shocks and what springs he now uses.
