Hi guys,
and sorry but I am going to ask a lot of questions in the coming days.
I have a feeling that my newly purchased Troy Lee RTR was assembled a little bit clumsy. The servolink is shorter an it is hitting the thingy. The Camber and Steering Tierod is shorter compared to SCTE 2.0 build manual.
My question is, can I re-build based on the 2.0 Kit guide will it work?
And of course tire problem they are off balance 3 out of 4.
Thank you for your input.

Stinky-- These are not automotive tires that are balanced. If you are revving the tires on the bench and are wobbling it is likely they are just out of balance. They will not balance your tires on an RTR. I have never seen a balanced RC tire offered ever. This is something you would need to do. when running the car on the ground I doubt you would notice. I normally don't balance my tires for racing unless it is a big event
these are mass produced cars. Although they do a pretty good job setting camber, and toe and such it is not a bad idea to if you are familiar with the truck already to break it down and check proper parts are thread locked and to adjust a few things to make sure the truck is setup right. Check ride height, camber, toe in, steering links, adjust the radio for steering throw, I would look over the truck for sure. Again they do a pretty good job assembling these things from my experience but they definitely don't have the attention to the small details an experienced racer would put into assembling a car which is why we get kits!
Some different options for you to help balance tires

I have the losi tire balance stand and it works awesome ( you need this adapter https://www.amainhobbies.com/losi-sh...a99181/p185871). AKA hand held tool works pretty well also. I use poster putty you can get at a $0.99 store ore staples type place when I balance tires. There are many other options as well.

Thank you. Casper for the input. The thing is when I rotate the tires by hand i see the following. Is this tires out of balance? I am not sure?

Wheels are warped a little. Have taken them off and on yet? Make sure they are seated against the hexes flat. It happens. I can't tell if the tires are glued on just right as well. Looks like there could be a little bit of that as well. I understand your concern but don't see anything that would result in a warranty issue or cause a failure for the car.

Sorry Casper for asking silly questions but, is it ok if I set up Tierods and other stuff as per SCTE 2.0 build manual? Will it work on Troy Lee since it is not the same rig?
Cheers

Yes the geometry of the Troy lee and the SCTE 2.0 are the same. Tie rods and other adjustments should all be the same.
Remember however the kit settings (for the 2.0 kit) are a starting point. If you change the setup you will need to adjust the rods. For steering links I make sure they are the same length and adjust them the same to achieve the toe I want. For camber links I put the rod ends on the same distance and just adjust until I achieve the camber I want (~ neg 2 deg) using a camber gauge. I would do the same with the Troy Lee RTR but if you want to measure the tie rod lengths the 2.0 lengths should get you there. The only thing I don't know is if the Troy Lee out of the box setup is the same as the SCTE 2.0 kit setup so if the camber links are in different locations things may be a little off but I believe they should be the same.
