Corey's NEGS setup is dialed! It's a great place to start.

Jilles' '09 LRP setup is really good and worth a shot too. It's on TryHard's website.

Although I'm pretty sure it's around Oct 10. But announcements are usually made about a month out. Check out the 1st page of this thread. The announcement for the 416 was made around this time 2 years ago. So if there is a replacement we will hear about it pretty soon...

Hupo Honigl of Tamiya/LRP shared a moment with us regarding his racing background, theories on passing, etc. That can be accessed:

This was not my best interview for sure...but somewhat informative none the less....

I ran my 416 today for the first time ever. I ran it on carpet, at Fastcats.

I have to say this car is awesome. It was my first time running touring car since 2007 (with the exception of one race day in dec of last year, and another in Jan 09) and my first time running rubber tires since 2001.

I sorta came up with my own setup as i find that usually is best for me- but i started with shock locations and oils off of the Cory Whiteman NEGS setup.

We ran 13.5, which i cant believe is actually pretty quick (i was ready to run 10.5).

I managed to qualify 2nd over all, and then took the win over some pretty quick Toronto Locals.

Not too shabby for 6 packs on the car. Nothing broke or bent. I did have to replace both front spindles because the top ball stud holes were stripped.

I love the car. I will be trying it in foam by the end of the month.

Man, it sure is nice to see some more people in North America getting interested in this car. It's such a nice ride! My two whips are on their way to Vegas right now. I'll be joining them tomorrow morning.

Good job Keith! Is Keven Hebert still running at Fastcats?

Not sure on build tips, but there's a few changes I'd make for the sake of durability.

Use 46mm steel CVD's up front. Get a Parma T2 bumper (requires slight modification). Replace the ball studs in the steering rack with the kind that are used for king pins. If you're bending the blue ball studs elsewhere, get the black steel ones. Put titanium steering rods on, camber links should be okay. Get the alum servo saver horn if you use a Tamiya saver and have a few savers in your box 'cause they got sloppy after a while. Consider getting the 2pc mounts for the F/R position if you're having trouble bending the flipped block. Consider getting some aluminum or soft plastic IFS c-hubs, the stock parts seem to break a little easily.

Other than that, I suggest reading through the all the tips on TryHard's site, and watching all the Jilles videos.

I think I'm going to head out there on Wed and check it out, wasn't able to make the race this year but I still want to drop by and hang out for a day.
