I'm hoping they will re-release some VAG-bodies. I would love to see some A4, VR6 and MKIV GTI's on the track.

The ff01 was a much different car than this car. I would build this car box stock. Maybe a a second set of tire with a softer insert than your normal tire. At my track we ran a softer insert on the rear of the car.

FWD RC cars are a strange breed. I raced the FF01 for a couple of years and the issue of grip has always been a widely discussed one. You need front end grip to avoid excessive wheelspin, but not too much to induce oversteer. At the same time you need back end grip because the back tend to come around under throttle lift-off due to its light weight. In the end it is a toss-up between wheelspin and/or handling. If you get both right, the rewards are tremendous! I agree with tamiyarcracer to start with a box stock set-up and work from there...

@ redbones - i will keep track on the changes to see what works. I am going to go agains my TA05R with exact same gearing just to see the diff from 4wd to 2wdff but so far with full load the fwd is around 200g lighter to start.

@stitchy - thanks! this would help. right now I actually have to bring the car to the hobby shop and test the bodies I have to use a tamiya body for TCS but for local club race i will have to venture more.

thanks
