mhavlena was referring to the new download software from LRP. Different to the ESC firmware.

V4.4 is still the latest firmware for the Stockspec ESC.

2.0.4 is the interface SW that is used on the computer to communicate with the SC. v4.4 is the firmware that is loaded on the SC.

A second question. Will you have to buy it? Or will it be the replacement? I sent my Stock Spec V2 back to Associated in December for a faulty BEC and am still waiting for a replacement. Hopefully the replacement I get will have the new logicboard installed since LRP recognizes a defect in thier V2 ESC's.

I qoute:
"This new logicboard was developed as the SXX Version2’s BEC, while extremely powerful, was unfortunately prone to malfunctions in certain applications and for sure not reliable enough."

I got my Stock Spec back today Thanks AE. It appears to be brand new not refurbished. I asked if it included the new logic board and was told by the AE employee that he didnt think so becuase they hadnt got any updated boards yet.

Hopefully it doesnt have any of the same problems, as I am not planning on using it until I need to for either a backup or a new class.

I was at the track and I installed my stock spec v2 ESC. I turned it on and it worked fine. I realized I had to bind my rx. I installed my bind plug, turned the esc switch on and nothing. The thing stopped working.

I have read a couple of pages back and know about the BEC issues but can installing a bind plug blow out the esc?

I will be sending it in once I find out the process.

Try hooking up a receiver pack and turn it on. If it works, BEC failed. Happened to me with a Brand New one out of the box a while back.

Hi,

I wan't to run a lrp sxx stock spec V2 with a 17.5T brushless motor.
But I have to compete against 27T brushed, so I have to boost/time the motor

what number should I program?
Do you guys have any suggestions?
I'm kinda new to the brushless thing, I still ran brushed untill now :d

Thanks,

Thanks,
27T brushed motor will be a bit slower than a good 17.5 with the correct gearing.
If you use full boost, you will be closed to mod speed.

Unless you are running same fixed gear as 27T ?

Nobody on the entire island had an LRP they could loan Ronald f'ing Volker?

Anyway, once the prototype is done destroying hopes and dreams, I hope it's fitted with a good case, solder posts, a better sensor wire location and a nicer capacitor solution. Otherwise it's great.

Default Speedo keeps thermalling ?

Not sure if any one has had this problem but my stock spec keeps going into non-boosted run part way through a race. Can happen even after a couple of minutes in.

I checked the temps from the blue flashes and the speedo had 1 flash but the motor had 9. The motor was barely hot though (50 degrees)

I thought it only thermalled out to unboosted if you had 10 flashes. Very suprised I got 9 flashes though as my settings aren't outrageous?

My settings for a 13.5 GM were 3,6,10,0 and I tried 3,4,8,0 but it made no difference. FDR was 6.5

Any help much appreciated

Mine kept thermalling (thus shutting down) the other day...motor temp never reach 120 deg C. Got fed up and switched it out for another brand ESC, problem went away....not sure whether the ESC is busted or not...
