17.5 no timing: 4.0
13.5 no timing: 4.5

I hardly change my gear ratio from the above at the local track. Its a smaller carpet track.

Bottom line, they make any car easier to drive. When I first tried dcj's I felt like I lost some steering but thats just beacuse the front driveshafts arent causing a drag brake effect from all the chatter at full steering lock. Its an easy setup change to add more steering. You end up being way more consistent on your lap time spread when you have an easier car to drive even though you might not be faster on your flying single lap.

I'll be running a 13.5 motor with an 81T spur gear. What pinion would you recommend? I was thinking 27-33 from past experience, maybe 25 or 26 still

Will that mesh right? Ive never tried a spur that small on any car so I can't say. Right now im using the panaracer 96t spur. On my tamiya I usually run a 104 spur.

Well I've never really used anything above a 90T spur... Right now I'm racing my Sakura S zero with a 81T spur and 26T pinion with 9T Ezrun combo. Nice speed and winning races. Thats all thats counts

Does anyone know if my Schumacher 89T spur gear will fit in replacement for the standard kit spur gear the car comes with?

Thanks
