Cjm please be clear, there was no criteria for this question based on what would be the best all around engine considering, cost, longevity, and power the Go wins sorry.
If you want to throw out price and just say what is the best engine available the Go EBM5 wins that too. The dyno will back it up. It has everything the O.S. has plus more for less. First its assembled in the U.S. it features a american made name brand ceramic bearing, has the same crank coating as the O.S. but also has the throttle slide and wrist pin coated as well, not to mention it comes broken in and dyno tuned for $200 less than a O.S.
The D8 buggy won the worlds, thats pretty impressive for the cost of the buggy, but I see your point its not a kyosho, but many would argue that there are much better buggies then the kyosho which cost less, i.e. (ae, losi, x-ray, mugen) not to take anything away from the kyosho it definately sits at the top, but price doesn't always mean best.

My vote also goes to the Jammin JPX.21 for price, power, speed, ease of tune, reliability, fuel consumption, quality, Carb construction, and Customer service, which is key. Every once in awhile you will get a defective engine from all the manufacturers. The Jammin is one of the few engines that have the backing of Ofna, so you can send it back for service at no charge, unlike OS who will tell you to F#@k off and die

1 that runs all the time, idles, goes gallons, is predictable, and leaves ya free to race most of the day. any engine i have to touch more than once before each heat is not the best IMO

Can you send them in for an overhaul? I have one that I can't get enough top-end out of. What can I do? About 1/4 -1/3 of the straight it stops pulling. The motor is easy to tune and is dependable. It is fantastic in a lot of ways, but just seems to be out of power eary in the straigtaway. I am running OS 2050 and 2060 pipes on it.
Thanks in advance

I might as well contribute to the "repeat" post problem... LOL
When I hear "Best" I take it as price doesn't matter. These would be my top three picks. With the Speed being the pick of the litter...
OS Speed
Mugen JX21-OS
RB C6BBT7 L2G

motor
IMO all the new motors are good, just go to your track and see what every one is running, there is probably a reason. My favorite motor is the new OPS SFV21B but try and find one in this country
