Team High Velocity is growing.....

B.Card and I had a good showing in the heats (qualified 5th and 4th respectively) at the Palmetto TC Championships. We both got hacked in the main though

Welcome to the team Reggie

Randy, can you tune a Core stock motor from Orion? If so, can you pm me what you've found to be a good setup. That's what we'll be running at the On-Road Nats, and no one that I know knows what to do with that motor.

The whole idea behind having a motor - battery sponsor, is to use and promote thier products!

randy, i'm sure its a "handout" motor, the racers have no choice but to run them last year we had to use the MVP.

pro4, i have run the core stock in off road truck, the motor sucks, unless you cut it down to around .275 comm size. and double red springs. use randys new brushes. i would suggest going out and buying one before the race and experimenting,

Yes, it is a handout motor. I'd love to run your stock motors b/c I know they RIP, but it's not up to me. Thanks for the advice Turtle.

Which new brushes are you talking about?

Default core stock

Pro4,

Ritchie is right about the com size and springs, the core stock works better with the com cut down and yeilds its best performace in the 270 to 280 range. Sping wise double reds do work best but non the orion reds use the 9oz trinity ones instead. I did some testing a couple months back with an old core I had and found that the motor performed best with F brushes, verticle cut on both. Other brush setups that worked well were: 4503 pos verticle cut w/ 4499 neg .050 hole, XXX full face (no serations) with a .050 hole in both.
