Default Tire temp at end of a run ?

What are the operating temp of the EXP tires ?
It was around 90F outside temp yesterday in GA, track is smooth asphalt.
Was running EXP 45 slick (2nd run on them) and 50 threaded (4rd run on them so now pretty much slick too) on a DM-1 -electric..- and surprisingly the 50 shore where 'giving up' much sooner than the 45's !?
Front left (clockwise track) was at around 130F, with center on the tire warmer than the edges on all 4 -too much wheel spin ?-

I bet you were overheating them because the treaded tire was squirming around, slipping or spinning excessively.

Well I may new to travel South next year!!

I was very happy with the 50EXP's. Ran 1st for the first 15min in the 60min race, but need to do some works on the brakes, which went away to quickly. Still finished 2nd, with 180 laps and tires still had seams showing in all but the right rear. Which would be expected on this track.

Bill, thanks for all the help getting me tires.

Which inserts do you recommend for the 50's tread or slick?

For a well prepped smooth asphalt I would recommend EXP slicks. For slightly rough surface then I would go with treaded tires.

John - Thanks for all your help getting my IGT car set up at the Tri State Shootout at FBF this past weekend! I'm at least twice as smart about onroad now as I was before we talked...and I clearly wasn't too smart before!

The Sweep EXPs worked great - I think they were on every IGT car I looked at this weekend!

Hope to see you at FBF again soon!
