I am using the screw and nut. It was a tight fit for the nut, I think I may have used an xacto to trip just a tad off the ears. Its been a few months since I put it in.

I'm yet to break a diff screw...
but I only race 19t and stock.

the only problem I have if you use the AE diff screw is that you can't external adjust or tighten it.

HB just released the ti version that comes standard on the WC edition. it's available seperately..I was able to get several sets from Champs..even though I don't really need them...

I have already broken one of the ti coated ones. That was running the diff tight so i backed it off a little and its held up from now.

Default Diff screws

If you guys read back a page or two.....you will find the permanent solution to them breaking.

AE screws break too.....just not as often, crap metal.
The aluminum outdrives do usually need drilled when using AE size.......... tho 3 Racing do not.

External adjustment is no big deal.....just snap off the ballcup and put the wrench in the outdrive.

Also the HB titanium coated screw will break as well on carpet. An M2 is just too thin for what it is being used for.

Stuey-

Click here for a previous post that shows all of the new parts on the Moore edition.

The 3.5mm shock towers and aluminum diff are not included with 55400, and the Surikarn edition is becoming increasingly difficult to find. They are potentially available at a premium from Hong Kong or Japan.

The hara and surikarn editions are identical except for color and include a few hop-ups over the 55400. They include the version 2 CVDs, shock shafts with two piston positions, narrow rear diff pulley, 3.5mm towers, aluminum rear diff, front one-way, front spool, fixed middle pulley/shaft, one-way middille pulley/shaft, full set of front and rear sway bars, strengthened upper bulkheads and right middle bulkhead.

I think thats most of them.

I'm also ready to go the online route, although I doubt any shops in the US will have anything. My local shop placed a call to HPI/Hot Bodies today and was told the parts I need will not be available until after the new year. It is frustrating to break one part and not be able to get a replacement for over a month. I prefer to buy locally but it looks like the only way to get anything is to go international. I'm open to suggestions if anyone can help.

Thanks, Dave.
