This is a excellent engine and pipe combo.
Runs as well as any other top branded motor just take the time to run it in properly and it will last and perform.

Axe is my preferred engine.
I run a Cobra and Cobra X1.
Only thing with them is they take longer than usual to run in, other than that they are awesome

what glow plug you run in yours?

No6 Axe plugs or Nosram no6 on 25% nitro.
Tried OS3 and some other plugs but the motors ran best with the 6 heat range

Go to www.ebmods.com and click on dyno results. Mamba in there. It's a turd. Weak motor that doesn't compare to the v spec. Probably ok in buggy on a track with no bite, maybe. Compares with os vg.21, not v spec.

I have had two cobras x1 comp and they have solid bottoms and a screaming top end. with a little bit of clutch tuning I got the bottom i wanted. nice engines.

I purchased the same engine/pipe combo except it was modified by Fusion Motor Sports. I must have gotten a bad one , because it had no compression after break in , all the back plate screws striped right out of the block. I noticed there was alot of slop in the con rod, and less then half way through my first gallon , the rod broke going down the back straight away destroying everything. Oh ya before that happened the rear bearing went. Jim at Fusion was kind enough to replace it for free after I sent it to him to find out why it had no compression. He told me he didnt even know why it had none. All in all im happy I dont have to deal with that motor any more , it was just alot of money to eat. The problem also is that I have heard alot of good things about this motor and alot of bad things. Tough choice.

Of all teh motors i have had personally aswell as sold to customers i have had 1 hassle really with a leaking front bearing. Other than that 95% of teh time its been user error.

I would have to say in this case , this was not user error. I used the basic heat cycle method, and after 5 tanks , making sure to get the engine above 210F quickly, I had barely any compression. I even tried taking shims out , and it didnt matter.
