Thanks bro, I was leaving mine rear motor because a friend runs mid and wanted to see the difference. Obviously it sucks. So I'll kick his ass with the RB5 instead.

If u really want your car to work well, and u really want some serious help with it, then I highly suggest that you break the car down and put a setup on it from petit rc. I would maybe try to pick through some of the pro setups that are in the carpet section and pick one of theirs( I would run a mid motor setup for sure). That will give u at least a fighting chance of being in the ballpark of having a correct setup. Then u can post any issues u r having here and which setup u r using, and we will b able to intelligently help u. I know it is not the answer u want to hear, but I think if u asked everyone on here that really was good at setting up their cars, I believe u would get a similar answer.
There r a lot of knowledgable people on this thread, so if u do this, I promise u will get some good help from us.
Just my 2 cents...

Most guys running the gear diff just use black grease. We haven't even tried it though because the ball diff is awesome. With BFast carbide balls the diff will outlast the outdrives.

Great point on the BFast carbide balls.... Does the 81 spur come stock? And if I need to mess with gearing would you suggest adjusting the spur or pinion? Hopefully the pinion as its much easier to remove/replace!
Thanks for all the help so far guys, I'm fairly new to electric.

Hey my slipper pads are really glazed, how are you guys cleaning yours? My A/E's I scrape with a razor, but these things are rubbery and I don't want to ruin them.
