Sorry for my confusion:

Could somebody tell me if those Big blue certified motor can be easily identified or not by their appearance among "normal" D4s, please?

Can somebody tell me if JMRCA and ROAR are just homologated 21.5 "normal" D4 motor then big blue certified is considered "illegal" in the ROAR and JMRCA?

Also want to know about if "17.5 big blue D4 certified with 13mm torque rotor', if this motor with this all combination will surpass or not 2500KV when check on scrutineer analyzer, please?

Best regards

look through the vent holes, you can easily spot the winding color. Trinity Big Blue are illegal stators.

FANTOM WORKS EDITION TYPE T 17.5 brushless motor. Hardly used. Raced it two times for onroad. 12.5mm High Torque rotor with ceramic bearings. Pretty fast motor. I pretty much got it to try out/back up.
$60

PM or email me at [email protected] if interested. No trades. Thanks~

So it looks like roar has kicked the 21.5 killshot out of the approved list? The 17.5 is there but the 21.5 is not. Is there another page missing to the list like last year?

Jason you are looking in the wrong spot in the Roar approval list. You can find it in the Roar forum approval list. Killshot motor is still approved to race in USGT or GT3.

Running a 17.5 1s in 12th scale and what would be a good rollout to start at?

D4 1s rollout between 98-101 depending on your timing and track size. safe setting to start at is 48 degrees timing and 99 rollout.

Question regarding certified motors.

I have both a "normal" (well a maxzilla) D4 and a certified.

The Maxzilla came delivered with the timing set at 0, I run it at between 45deg and 55deg typically.

The certified motor has come delivered with timing sitting at about 58/59 deg.

Is this likely some sort of recommendation? Ie: tested at this level and found to be max torque/performance or is it likely purely arbitrary - ie: where it was last set when tested?

Default USGT

Just ordered a
TEP1703RXX
Team Trinity D4 1S "Certified" Short Stack Brushless Motor (21.5T)

to run in USGT. Can anyone recommend a starting point for timing and FDR.
