Hi, if I wanted to use the SLF II shocks on a '15, would I just buy the short towers that were brought out for the '15 and the original short shock set up, or could I bolt the '16 towers on to the '15?
Also, what are the differences between the '15 and '16 bulkhead caps? Is the shock tower mounting point just a little lower? The bulkhead caps are a cross over part I think, so could I combine the '16 bulkhead caps, short towers and SLF II shocks to bring me very close to a '16 set up?
Hope that makes sense!
Cheers all.

The bulkhead caps are not the same they have made them wider at the tower mount to stop the breakages that the 15 suffered, and subsequently the shock tower mount holes are slightly further apart as well.
So yes you could use 16 bulkhead caps and 16 shock towers but as the bulkheads sit lower on the 16 it will be a fraction too high if you install them on a 15 to use the short shocks. Just use the short 15 towers and the slf2 shocks.

It will be cheaper to use 15 short towers with the slf2 shocks.

Getting to the end of my build of the BD7 16 and have a couple of questions regarding shocks.
Is it best to build with 0 rebound so put cap on with shaft pushed in?
For low grip outdoor what is a good oil rate to start with?
Any other tips in building the yokomo shocks?
What type of springs do I need to buy as assume the stuff I had to use with trf cars will not fit?
Thanks

Depending on your track conditions, I've found the kit setup to work really well.
The things I switched out from the kit setup was...
Bladders (use black bladders)
Shock o-rings (use blue o-rings)
Differential gear o-rings (use black o-rings)
Drilled a hole in the shock cap
1 mm spacers on the outer front and rear hubs
2.5 rear toe in
Front end I used 4.2 front and rear blocks
This car has a lot of steering and rear grip. I've found it has too much rear grip (which isn't a bad thing) but you might have to tune some of it out with rear toe blocks or even a heavier rear roll bar.

For those who are still running the BD7 2014. I have a decent setup for 17.5 that's worth trying out. The traction is medium-high and highly recommend x-gear springs for this setup.
Here's the setup.

Here's the run. The guy ahead of me is considered the "Samurai" of the track. Rightfully so, this guy is stupid fast in every rubber tire class he enters in.
