I second that and its true they are not made by a manufacturer in the rc industry.Independant manufacturer with 100% Mr Od's design .

On another note Mr Od also told me they tested more production engines during the week and they were very very impressed with the performance .

You will buy an engine i asure you of that .Mr Od doesnt do things backwards as alot of you know he takes his time but its done right from the beginning.

Take for example his fuel and glow plugs and his buggy and truggy they are all state of the Art to a while but look at the end reward perfect products with no headaches and thats were i take the courage from to do well with cobra with high quality from Mr OD.

I saw that Tower had limited stock (mid August status now) and, to my surprise, I saw last night that one of my local hobby shops has 3 of them sitting on the shelf priced at a very reasonable $229.99!

this engine may be comparable to vspec, but NO way it would even come close to a speed motor. not in durability or rebuildability or power output, or fuel consumption.
nothing ceramic bearings and speed crank won't fix, if it fitx.

How can you substantiate your opinions? Do you have the new motor? Team drivers that I have spoken with have indicated that it's super smooth. But probably the only thing that is missing would be a matched pipe. I don't think that your used Speed motor that you purchased is the end all be all motor. Do you get better fuel consumption with those zip ties on the cooling head?

He does have a point though. Not having ceramic bearings or a harden crank will result in some durability issue later down the road. Same goes for the Ready motor, super smooth but there cranks are not harden either. Only time will tell, but manufactures have gone to the harden crank because of OS's issues. Let hope they used better material and a better design.
