This is what I'm finding, nobody really running this car, so development is taking longer as there's nobody to discuss ideas and setups with. By comparison, there's 4 or 5 guys all running the new Yokomo BD8, so their pace is getting better at a faster rate.
Having said that, I'm seeing good results and am keeping pace with the BD8's in my class. Last meet I was mostly experimenting with chassis flex and saw some good results.

Has anyone tried running a gear diff up front as well? I've got the parts to build one with, and was thinking maybe a 150k oil, to run in 21.5.

I think 300k is the heaviest I have, and my local is out of stock of 500k.

Another race day with my TF7, running 21.5 against a couple of fast regulars with a Yokomo BD8 and Xray T4 17.
Raised rear roll centre, and went to Kyosho red springs with option rear roll bar. Ended up under track record for the class, and car was very consistent. Easy to put where I wanted to on track. Running Bitty Design M410 body, with Rush 36X premounts. Air temp around 18 deg C.

Sounds like you could have uses some rush 32s.

Yes, I think a 32 would likely yield more speed, particularly early in the run. But with a couple of large events coming up which specify the Rush 36 as a control tyre, I want to keep working with it.

Sorry to change the subject. But how have you been liking your TF7? How does it compare to a Xray for example driving wise..Looking to get into the TC game after always doing off-road..Time to run both. Was looking at the TF7 and Infinity car. How easy is to to setup for asphalt or carpet vs say the xray car? Thanks man.

Just picked up a TF7, does anyone have a setup for low-med grip grey carpet?

Sorry for delayed reply, have not looked at this thread in a while.

I'm very happy with it, playing with chassis flex has yielded some benefits. Had a win at the last round of the Xray series here, running against the latest Yokomo's and Xray's. Had to work hard at the wheel, but did not touch the setup of the car all day. Now I see an updated version...

Not sure why kyosho is bringing out a new TF7.7 when the 7 is great the way it is. How about getting the TF7 in the hands of some top guys. And winning races. This car isn't going anywhere. It's a shame it's a great sedan.I race my TF7 in mod class. Would be nice if we had options with setup sheets and pro driver feedback.

Yeah it would be good to see more of them around. I wonder if the updates will be available to purchase as a kit to update the car to the new spec?

I'm very happy with how mine is running, so updating my current car would work for me.

I've noticed they changed out a lot of parts from the 7 to the 7.7 . Even the suspension arms are different. Check out the manual on kyosho America. The parts and numbers are different.

I'd say from that a new kit would be easier.

I'm Interested in it. It Has Active rear toe control like the Xray T4's!
